Guest Rooms Kom — Hotel in Sofia City

I chose this guest house based on location and price which are the only things it has going for it. It is right across from the train and bus stations so it is very easy to make a quick connection. I booked through booking.com and it was difficult. It took several tries to get the place to respond to my reservation but in the end they did respond and didn't require a deposit. My cab from the airport had trouble finding the place so the exact address in Bulgarian script is a must. The building is run down and dreary but the rooms and baths are somewhat modernized and overall OK. At 20 Euros for a single it was the cheapest near the station and didn't seem like an especially good deal but for Sophia maybe it's OK. I would pay a little more and be a little farther away next time. Internet did work in the rooms but be sure to get the code when...

It was a pleasant experience to stay at Guest Rooms KOM. Although they didn't response after booking a room (on other site), the reservation was made and room was ready for us to come. And it is a plus that reception is opened 24 hours of 24, so there is somebody whenever you reach the place. ||You have clean towels and bed linen, hot running water, conditioned air and the location is excellent: near the center bus station and the railway station, and close to the city center. And Sofia's city center is amazing as the line airplanes are coming to land above the city center (as the airport is near) and you may see them...

I stayed at Kom guest rooms for 1 night with 2 friends. We arrived very late (4am) and the manager was there to greet us. Our room was a triple room with a shared bathroom, basic but clean and tidy. The response to emails was very quick and it was an easy booking to make. The check out time the next morning was quite late which was great for us. We were getting on a coach to Bansko the next morning and the location of the hostel meant that we just had to cross the road to get to the bus station, so no need for taxis. ||Overall, a cheap and cheeful hostel, would stay...
