It is a cozy little hotel right off the famous Vitosha blv. (5 minute walk from Vitosha), and thus within a very convenient distance from many of the attractions one would like to visit. The area is quite and clean. The staff are amazing. They're always with a smile and always ready to offer help. The rooms are almost spotless and warm (I traveled in winter) with all that you may need for a pleasant stay (nice, clean beddings on comfy beds, minibar, hair dryer, etc.) It is also really easy to reach from the airport (I got there by metro, and the directions the hotel staff gave me were so accurate). There is a meyhane-restaurant attached to the hotel, and I was offered a discounted meal there upon my check-in. The menu comes only in Bulgarian tho. The breakfast is not bad, but very very basic and with limited items. There is no complimentary bottled water in the room, but they told me the tap water was OK to drink. You can find 2 bottles of water in the minibar tho. You can also use towels, toilet paper, and soap and shampoo from dispensers in the bathroom.
All in all, I had a very pleasant stay at this property. I do recommend it and when I get back to Sofia, it would be my...
Read moreWe didn’t have good first impressions but we had a very pleasant stay overall.
We arrived at 7am morning and most restaurants were still close so we had to sit around the lobby, and we were met by a very unhappy and unreasonable front desk staff - just to ask to use bathroom and sit in the lobby and we were getting the nasty look. We went to wait in another hotel next door lobby who treated us much nicer than our own hotel!
However when we came back later at 2pm for our check-in, there was another gentleman, Tsventan Dimitrov who was so nice and friendly and helpful.
Overall very pleasant stay. The room is newly remodeled and roomy. The room very clean and modern. Our has a separate living room with fridge and microwave. Both smart TVs can stream Netflix and YouTube. The location is perfect , nearby the shops and restaurants but not noisy. We also feel safe around this neighborhood.
The restaurant behind the hotel serves the best seafood, we ended up eating 3 nights there !
We would have had a very different opinion about the hotel and overall Bulgarian if we hadn’t met...
Read moreThis hotel offers excellent value for money. Rooms are clean and mostly comfortable. The location is excellent. It is very central in Sofia but on a relatively quiet residential street. The major sights are a 20-minute walk, or you can take the metro, a 5-minute walk away. There are lots of good restaurants close by, as well as the pedestrianized Vitosha Blvd. Service is friendly, professional, and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is ample, with lots of appealing options and decent coffee. I wish it had been available before 8:00. My only other small complaints are that my room facing the street tended to be warmer than I like for sleeping, even though it was chilly outside, below 10°C, and I had turned off the heat. I was forced to open the windows, which meant getting street noise. This probably is not an issue in rooms facing away from the street. Also, as is so often the case in Bulgaria, there is not a proper shower stall, and water leaks onto the floor of the bathroom. But on the whole, I was happy...
