iatto Collezione – Where Cinema, Philosophy, and Pizza Collide
If Fellini were shooting a movie in Sofia, you can bet your last lire he’d wrap the day at Piatto Collezione—a place where art, flavor, and the very essence of la dolce vita are lovingly folded into every slice.
The pizza? A masterpiece. The pepperoni sings like a tenor at La Scala—crispy on the edges, rich with umami, and perfectly cradled on a blistered Neapolitan-style crust that would make a Neapolitan weep tears of joy. Even the char is poetic—like a love letter written in fire.
But this place is more than just pizza. It’s where Italy meets Bulgaria in the most elegant handshake imaginable. The staff wear uniforms with the pride of nations stitched right over their hearts. You can almost hear the murmurs of Bulgakov and Pasolini in the air, debating the soul of modern man between sips of espresso and bites of focaccia.

Read morePiatto Collezione is an absolute gem of an Italian restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the soothing sounds of live music that set the perfect tone for the evening. The service was impeccable, with a staff that went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of the dining experience was just right. But what truly stole the show was the food. Each dish was a delightful masterpiece, bursting with authentic Italian flavors. I started with an amazing Caesars salad, which was a tantalizing preview of what was to come. The main course, especially the spaghetti carbonara, was a revelation, cooked to perfection. And let's not forget the heavenly lemon cheesecake that provided a sweet finale to a memorable meal. Piatto Collezione is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Italian dining experience that marries live music, amazing service, and delicious food in one charming package. I'll be returning...
