Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived to when we left things were just getting worse. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I think people should know what to expect.
We was only given 1 key but you need to have the key for power, meaning while we was out our air con and fridge was not powered so once we got back to our room it was very hot and all our water was warm.
In our room wasn’t very clean at all with lipstick stains on the wall and a red stain on the mirror that I couldn’t get off. The bath was also dirty needing a hose down before I got in it.
With that the bath also doesn’t work properly, you can wash but it isn’t a pleasant experience. You have to fill that tub up with the shower hose that was not only cold but didn’t have much power. To work the jets in the bath wasn’t possible as all the button was missing. After a long time waiting for the bath to fill and having a cold wash I couldn’t drain the bath as the plug was broken. Scooping out the dirty bath water with a bin to try get this plug out. House maintenance came up and got the plug out but didn’t fix the issue, so for the last night I was taking a very cold drippy shower with a hand held hose.
Key card was temperamental as well had to be kept away form any other contact less cards otherwise it will stop working.
I was going to move past all of this however on my last night I was woken up twice but a itchy burning sensation up my back legs. Getting up twice I hosed myself off and applied more bug spray but the feeling came back. When I woke up in the morning I had a good look and it was bed bug bites all up the back of my leg. I know it was that as I always sleep on my back and that the only place that was bitten. This caused a major reaction for me and ruined the rest of my trip as It’s was extremely uncomfortable, and let’s add unappealing to look at.
Not impressed with my stay and was happy to check out and leave the hotel.
This hotel would have been a nice stay but standards need to be improved. I would...
Read moreValue for money, this hotel is worth it. Positives include a great location with big room. The air con is fully operational, so no need to worry after a long day of work or visiting sites. I stayed for 8 days for my business trip and I would come again.
What you should know before you book:
Hot water takes a few minutes for the shower. Your patience will be rewarded.
Bed is ok, so don’t expect too much.
Walls in the hotel are not sound proof. You’ll hear a few babies cry and some prayers in the morning from the local temples. For this price, I had no problem.
Restaurant next door is great. But please explore all the food options BTB has to offer. The city is rich in great local restaurants.
Staff are very welcoming and always happy to help.
Laundry for 1 weeks with of clothes cost me 10,000 riel. I could have gotten it cheaper, but the front desk offered to help. So the convenience was worth it.
Overall, it was worth the stay. Much better than the more pricey...
Read moreOur room looked clean at first instance but when we removed one of the pillows on the bed, there was a nest of ants on the bed. Throughout the room, there was ants. We got moved to another room but the infestation was so bad that my friend had carried them in her suitcase to Phnom Penh. The room that we got moved to had not been cleaned properly. The kettle had some sort of leaves in them. The staff were very pushy too. When we made an enquiry as to the cost of a bus to Phnom Penh, without even consulting us, he booked two tickets for us. When we rang up to complain about the ant infestation, the receptionist was more concerned about arranging an expensive trip to the bamboo train! When we had to check out, their card payment machine wasn't working so we had to go withdraw money from an ATM. The hotel is a fair walking distance from the markets, restaurants etc. I wouldn't...
