EAT HERE JUST DO IT
My wife is Italian and vegetarian, we've been on a trip for over 5 months and let me tell you the food here has been better than what I've had in Italy myself!
True Italian owners and very kind. The work they have to do to make authentic food from scratch versus the price they charge is just wow, worth every single riels or dollars.
They have things on the menu that no other restaurants claiming "Italian cuisine" have. My wife convinced them to make parmigiana for our last day in Battambang and made it on her request which was incredibly nice of them and amazingly tasty!
The calzone con carne was so tasty with a perfect crunchy yet soft crust like a pillow, lots of melted cheese, sauce and meat.
I wanted to eat a second one right away committing a glutinous sin due to the taste making me feel like I could eat and eat and eat... We left the restaurant craving more!!! So we made a reservation for the next day.
We came back twice more, I've obviously ordered the calzone a second time and holy Italian cuisine it was just as good as the first one the day before, we starved ourselves until 7pm before going back to the reservation we had made and it was so worth it to starve ourselves so we could eat like pigs 😂 We shared an apple pie for dessert and it was one of the best apple pie I've ever had.
For our last night we had the parmigiana and for dessert the strawberry cheese cake and tiramisu. Both felt like chewing a soft cloud full of holy sweet tasty goodness.
I'm at a loss of compliments why are you still reading this comment instead of booking a tuktuk or running to the scooter?
We made our last order to take away for our trip the next morning 😂🥰
If we ever come back to Cambodia, we will be making a detour just to eat here at least once.
Graze...
Read morewe bounced into this restaurant randomly, being Italians we generally avoid Italian restaurants abroad, but after a nice quick chat with Ketty, one of the owners, we felt like coming back for dinner, and we are super happy we did! The food is really good and reasonably priced, we came back several times and tested both pizza and dishes, both very good, even for our snobby italians taste :-) specials of the day are a good choice when in doubt on what to order. Wine is good quality too, which was a real treat after weeks of cheap Asian beer. Food aside, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the company of local regular customers, expats of varied origins and backgrounds with whom we enjoyed very nice conversations and who generously introduced us to the secrets of Battambang. Don't miss the opportunity to spend an evening here! Alessandro and Ketty are going to move to a bigger and nicer location at the end of the year, so look for updates on location in the comments if you are planning to go eat in their restaurant (which you should). Wish you all the best Alessandro...
Read moreIt was our first time to try this place. Small and cozy with a friendly staff. We really appreciate that during the time we were eating customers stand up and smoked cigarettes outside the place.
We tried visiting this restaurant last holiday and it is always full and some people waited for their turns. We believe when people wait just to have the meal. For sure the food is good at that place.
Well it was true, after a long travel we deserved a huge Verdu and Gorgo. 🍕😚👌👍
✔️The price was very reasonable, way better than the pizzas in Phnom Penh.
✔️The place is very well located and it was easy to find using Maps.me
✔️The staff are always smiling and happy to serve you.
✔️We enjoyed the welcome soup,(pumpkin soup) it was perfect as it was drizzling as we walked on the way to the restaurant.
✔️5 senses. I grew up knowing a good food, you should be able to use your 5 senses as you eat.
Well 100%...
