The Lonely Tree Café — Restaurant in Battambang

My favorite restaurant in Battambang. Food was 10/10. Really enjoyed it. We went the every other days. First we loved to have LTC mango Salad and Gazpacho. Then LTC eggplant casserole, tortilla de patatas, onion rings and bravas! (Sorry for no photo, very busy to dig in. Forgot to take photos) we were 2 people but food is too good not to finish. Well final part is Lime pie. It is not too sweet and perfect sourness. Soft and crunchy crust. Everything is 10/10. Service was amazing and Chef Pia and Pisey did amazing work! They sell cute Japanese plates and cups. I loved it. We bought the famous lonely tree book and children future soap. They support many NGO and communities with high quality goods (counter lady makes bags everyday and sell at the shop). I highly recommend....

Wanting to experience as many restaurants as we can during our visit to Battambang this place, offering a mix of Khmer and Western dishes, was next on the list. We ordered the beef Lok Lak, shrimp salad and pad thai. Everything was very good. The beef in the Lok Lak was a little on the tougher side but it tasted great and, with the pepper and lime to enhance the flavour, it was delicious. The pad thai was excellent too. The shrimp salad was surprisingly very spicy, as there were a lot of chili seeds in the sauce. It was still very good, with zesty flavours and nicely cooked shrimp. The atmosphere was nice, with pleasant lighting and some great photography of local people on the walls. Staff were very nice and prices were extremely reasonable at around...

I would like to welcome you to the Lonely Tree Café, one of my newest hidden gems. A cafe that has a purpose of helping those less fortunate and training them. The food quality is very good and the fruit smoothies are outstanding. I've sampled several dishes while not all perfect they're very good and the service is top notch. I would suggest, when in season, mango smoothies to drink and for your meal go ahead and try Grandma's meatballs which are a chef's suggestion. And I would also suggest the LTC salad which comes with mango and cashews with cheese on a nice mix of greens with cherry tomatoes in a vinaigrette that pairs nicely. We start all of our meals though with the gazpacho which is nice and refreshing especially on the hot days here...
