Pippali Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Kampot

as frequently travelling couple we do a lotnof effort to pick nice hotels. This was a favorite choise for kampot… but what a mistake! the room was big and clean beds( we booked twin but not available on arrival, besides the worst room)….the rest was not clean! no atmosphere, no lights on, nobody cleaning … receptionist was trying to smile but it seemed to be very very difficult (so then they dont understand you…) day later was the hotel fully booked for a party all night long… they never warned us(we booked very much in advance).. only a sorry. thats why we were put in a room aside the road ( unfortunately very heavy roasworks, they never warned us..) the breakfast was very poor ( the staff in the morning all right). but for a stupid cappuccino we needed to pay an extra 2,5usd… I refused that!! and an extra commision of 2 % because we pay by visa(we refused in an argue!) they clearly prefer you book by booking ans loosing much more than being kind to cosumers… I should never take that hotel again because it s not clean, no atmosphere, no energy of the staff… for me one reason: an invisble manager who just cares about his money. There are much better options...

Lovely Hotel, But Poor Communication Left a Bad Taste at Checkout

We stayed at this very nice boutique hotel as two families with a total of four kids. The hotel itself is charming, the staff were friendly and smiling, and the breakfast was enjoyable. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay until checkout.

However, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by issues at checkout. At the beginning of our stay, we had agreed on a special price directly with the Manager. To our disappointment, this agreed-upon rate was not honored at departure. We were charged extra for a second child’s breakfast per family, something that had not been clearly communicated beforehand.

Additionally, during breakfast, we were charged for various extras—such as a second juice for breakfast. A simple mention when ordering would have avoided confusion.

It’s not about the amount charged, but rather the lack of clear communication. With better transparency, this could have been a fully positive experience. Unfortunately, due to this issue, we cannot recommend the hotel as confidently as we...

My partner and I stayed here for a week while dealing with some Visa issues during a longer travel. The rooms were loverly! Coming from the islands it was amazing to have some luxurious beds and air conned rooms!

The place has a really nice vibe all around. Food was good and drinks are reasonable. You are a really short walk from everything as well so absolutely recommend it.

Also we need to thank their staff member Straymom (I hope we spelled that right!) She was fantastic the entire time. Very helpful, very easy to chat to and just a great person! She deserves a promotion!

The only draw back is the night club nearby on Saturday is incredibly loud till about 3am (hence 3 star location). Our advice would be either avoid Saturday stays or go...
