Pricey for what we got. We were not advised that the room had no window. A/C was quiet, but Arctic. Could not turn the fan down, nor stop it pointing straight at the bed. The biggest surprise was the blanket - it was a large beach towel (would not cover two people) and did nothing to impede the freezing A/C breeze. We had to request a more substantial blanket (were given two small fleece blankets). Arrived mid-afternoon and, as soon as we were alone, a jack hammer started up in the room above. This carried on until about 9.00pm and started again at 08.00am the next morning. There was also construction going on next door. We thought the room was quite clean until doing the “idiot check” before leaving, when we found a used prophylactic under the bed! I would not recommend this guesthouse in the least - go...
Read moreOriginally booked for only 2 nights but extended by 2 more night because of this hotel. Reception staff was really friendly, helpful and honest from the moment I arrived until I left. The boy helped to arrange everything from motor bike rental and laundry to bus tickets (to Siem Reap). The room itself was very comfy. It was clean and AC is New and made by LG. Suggest spending 1 day taking motorbike to Bokor National Park (Church, big Buddha, abandoned casino, ancient king residence, waterfall, lake), 1 day to La Plantation (pepper plantation) and 1 day to Kep (to eat crab, see crab market and do 2 hr National Park trek). For food, I highly recommend European quality dining for very reasonable prices at Auberge du Soleil and...
Read moreThe main benefits of the guesthouse are the price and the beds. The price is affordable and the beds are soft. The AC in our room was strong. Make sure to ask for a room with a window.||||The location was a minor drawback. The guesthouse is not on the main strip along the river. It is a few minute walk from many of the best cafes and restaurants.||||The main drawback is the noise. We were woken up by construction starting early in the morning. One morning a child woke us up. The issue is the tile floors— they carry sound. Management seems aware of the problem, which is good. This issue may not be a problem in a few months after our trip— the street is quite...
