I met Darin in Siem Reap and she told me about her restaurant 1960 so I made a special visit whilst in Kampot and I was blown away!
Incredible food, with a twist on a traditional menu/flavours. Everything made with love and so fresh tasting.
Must have the salt and pepper squid it is to die for, coming from an Aussie.
The whole fish was amazing and such a good portion size, perfectly crispy on the outside and full of flavour.
Really delicious smoothies with yummy flavour combos. We ordered the special which was caramel pineapple with vanilla ice cream and green peppercorn - very interesting flavours and great combination!
Lovely spot would be perfect to bring kids, lots of grass, cute dogs and a trampoline.
Most important Darin, she is an absolute gem and the most down to earth woman. She pours so much love into what she does and it...
Read more1960 is the perfect spot, either you've been in Cambodia for a while or just for a visit. The little corner of paradise that is this place offers everything you need for a successful meal: a caring owner, talented cooks, beautiful and well mainted huge garden. I tried the soups, the curry of caw tong, the seafood salad and of course the steak! They also play khmer music from the 60' as playlist. 1960 is a culinary and sensorial experience 5min from the center of town and I strongly recommend to give her a visit if you...
