We came right as they opened so they weren't really ready. Owner was sweeping and tidying things up, really nice guy so we decided to give him a chance. We forgo'd the Western food and opted for Khmer food cause we like Cambodian food. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Soup with fish and hubby ordered the Tom Yum soup with seafood.
He wasn't ready so he ran off with his moped to grab some more ingredients. Maybe come around 6pm instead of 5:30pm but we were easy, we just had some beer while waiting for him. He was so sweet, we didn't really care and wasn't in a hurry.
The food was comfort food for us so we enjoyed it. I like our soups extra sour so asked for extra lime to squeeze in our soups. Both were delicious!
It's a small mom and pop shop, please stop by and help them out! Try the food for yourself and see! Also, cheap prices compared to this area so we had to give it a shot! Definitely worth it!
We will definitely come back, I want to try the the stuff on the...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic food at great prices. I tried the beef lok lak, which was bursting with flavor and the best I had during my stay in Cambodia. The chicken amok was also really yummy too. Don’t miss his fresh smoothies- tried the pineapple one which had a touch of condensed milk and was the perfect refreshing treat in siem reap’s humidity. Western dishes like steak are also on the menu.
For authentic food and much lower prices than on pub street, definitely check this place out. Service was impeccable and the owner is very friendly. Note that this is not a fully enclosed space, but it means that the surrounding area gets treated with delicious smells. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m...
Read moreI wasn’t going to review but since you cannot take criticism of your food and lie in the replies saying you didn’t have a single ASEAN customer in the last few days, I’ll give my opinion too.
We had fish amok and Khmer red curry + morning glory (Jan 4th early dinner). Both of the main dishes were very bland and not at all reflective of the “local taste”. Morning glory tasted fine. Literally every single other restaurant we dined at during our trip did the same dishes way better. The restaurant does not deserve its extremely high rating.
Also, we were told we could pay by card but the terminal was not working so take note of that and bring cash if you decide to...
