This might sound a little too good, like one of those hotel evaluations that are too polished, but I really wasn't expecting to be that impressed. This is a real opinion based on what I've been through. I've been to a number of sites in Southeast Asia, but this one was different. I think it deserves some appreciation.Phka Chan Hotel: A rare Combination of a Central Location and Real Peace in Siem Reap|| The hotel is in only a short walk from Pub Street, the old market area and the center of Siem Reap, surprising it's also in a quiet area. In short this the best of both worlds: ease and order.||The management is present and really helpful, which is still rare in many local hotels. As a result, the service is smooth, the organization is well thought out, and as an international guests i really enjoyed how reliable it was. ||The staff is helpful and attentive, and they know how to be friendly without being too friendly.||The rooms are big, well-furnished, and kept very clean. I felt that i received more than the normal comforts for this price range, such as high-quality bedding especially pillow.. , strong warm water pressure. |These are really appreciated things after a long day of seeing temples.||The breakfast is worth mentioning because it was fresh, varied, and definitely made with care. ||It's not as fancy as a luxury hotel, but it always fulfills both Western and Asian tastes with a mix of local and international dishes.||The pool and common rooms are quiet, well-designed, and perfect for unwinding after a day touring Angkor Wat. ||The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, whether you're traveling alone to relax, as a couple on a romantic getaway, or as a family wanting some time off.||In short, Phka Chan had a unique combination of simple things: it's in the middle of everything, it's quiet, the service is perfect, and the beds are comfortable. If you want to be close to things without the noise and have good quality without the show, this is a great place to stay...

🌟 Overall Impression||We had a pleasant and comfortable stay thanks to the calm atmosphere and friendly staff. The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet accessing the town center was easy with Grab.|If I could make one request, it would be to have a softer mattress — but overall, I would definitely stay again.||ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー|✅ Positive Aspects|| • A compact, modern resort with a peaceful vibe, reminiscent of places in Thailand or Bali| • Spacious, clean rooms with full amenities| • Garden-view rooms facing the pool — views were average but relaxing| • About a 15-minute walk to the city center; the area is very quiet and safe| • Friendly and welcoming staff| • Breakfast buffet with tasty local dishes| • Great value for money| • Plenty of restaurants and massage spots heading south toward the center — popular with long-stay Western visitors| • A supermarket is about 5 minutes away, and a mini-mart right in front of the hotel sells water and beer||ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー|🔧 Areas for Improvement|| • Some room for improvement in operations (possibly due to limited staffing during the rainy season)| • Lack of clear instructions for room facilities — we didn’t know the water heater required a switch and ended up using cold showers for a few days| • No trash bin in the room| • Towels were missing after cleaning, and a follow-up call to request more was forgotten| • Mattress was very firm, which may not suit everyone| • Limited number of poolside loungers considering the number of rooms (not an issue for us)| • Too many flies in the breakfast area — food was covered, so hygiene wasn’t a big issue, but separating indoor/outdoor zones might help reduce this| • During heavy rain, rooms on the second floor can be quite noisy||ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー|🔮 Looking Ahead||If the operational details are improved, Phka Chan Hotel could be one of the best options for those looking to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in...

Still staying there. Cool place.

I work as a hotel and hospitality consultant in projecting and would love to offer just some insight from my side. No point in lifting up the great things of this hotel because they already do them correct and well. But....

I found it at a good price, 70usd a night for honeymoon suite. I think that is a fair price for the place. 5 star but then again star ratings don't mean more than amenities these days, for me 5 star is about the little things. Reception not always attentive or staffed enough. Asking the question, only 1 staff who is occupied with personal check in taking 5 or more mins.

Pool is nice but the little details are missing. One drink took 15 min to receive although I was only customer. Nuts is nice touch for free with drinks but how about a free simple cold towel together with the first drink ordered, that would be a 5 star touch signaling details of caring and it doesn't cost more than laundry and small fridge but would give so much more in terms of 5 star.

Gym is very small and everything is turned off before guests arriving. Meaning machines of electricity, water station and AC. Just let the AC stay on cause a 40 degree sauna box with full windows is not a good way to begin a workout. Again details, and really not much of a cost.

Rooms are nice, well done. But what a difference a coffee pod maker would make. The secret-western tourists love is their coffee as much as asians rice with their food. Nothing wrong with that. A simple (doesn't need to be nespresso) coffee pod maker instead of disgusting instant powder coffee will go a long way. I know this is a extra cost added, but trust me when I say for a tourist this makes a ton of difference. I stayed just this week in 4 star simpler hotel that had one and it was the so great waking up to fresh coffee. Again it's the details.

Overall lovely hotel. They do a lot right and the...

I live in Phnom Penh and visited Siem Reap for weekend to see some artwork progress and also visit ancient temples of Kulen mountains. Booked this hotel on trip com after bit of researching The hotel is rather small but well designed, with modern design and quality materials large rooms. The pool area is cosy and very lush and feels very secluded. I paid around$ 50 per night for the room upstairs with a balcony. I liked the design of the room. Simple and elegant using good quality materials. The pool area is also very lovely with shallow and deep sections. One comment to the operator I would have is please change the lights along the permittee wall to warm white. All the lights in the hotel are 3000K warm.white except the 4 appt lights illuminating the swimming pool which are 5000k and causing hospital like effect. Switching this lights would be much better Breakfast is nice and plantifull You order by ticking your choices on a paper card. Everyday is the same choice so after a few days you might find it a bit repetitive but for my two nights stay it was more than enough choices The hotel is located walking distance from the center but far enough to be super quiet at night. Air-conditioning is concealed above the ceiling and very efficient. Staff super attentive I rented a brand new scooter and was bit worker about being stolen but staff without even me asking moved my scooter into protected area for the night so it didn't stay parked at the street parking. Beds really big and comfy I was offered free late checkout Was really nice stay

We stayed for 6 nights and we were very happy we chose this hotel. It’s near the city, but in calm area so you can chill by the pool without disturbing noice. I loved that they play calming music in the area too - really helps to relax. Rooms - spacious. Wifi is fast and stable. Service and cleaning is nice. Minimal, stylish, modern interior - both in rooms and lobby. Staff is very welcoming, sprays you with mosquito repellent when you are heading to the city :D Used their services for the tour, laundry and all was excellent, even though overpriced (paid for laundry 5 usd/1kg while across the street you can do it for 1 usd) Cons: would love to have more variety for breakfast - perhaps ham and cheese to make yourself a sandwich. Also, a net over the bed to avoid mosquito bites would be a great. I would come back and we truly enjoyed staying here.

I'll start off with the most important; it's a nice place, with a nice energy and clean rooms which is IMO the most important. There are, however, some things that could benefit from some improvement. - the place feels understaffed, the staff present tries their best and literally runs around at times, but they seem overloaded. I will note they do everything with a smile and remain very helpful - the breakfast is fine, but would be a lot better if the presentation was a bit better. The food looks bland and is at times very oily, the bread not toasted and the coffee tasted a bit soapy (maybe the machine was recently cleaned or needed cleaning? Something was off) This place has 5 star potential but is probably still recovering from the previous year and slow increase of tourism. Overall would recommend
