Where do I start, wow. Pool/courtyard and roof top all 5 stars imo and I’vetravelled to more countries than my age srs kekw (I am 34 lewellll). The entire team are fantastic, spacious rooms and lovely staff not just Alec (he’s the MVP/bossman, but treats staff so kindly, you know if a business runs well and staff are happy – good business, well at least I even I know that much about business- Alec/Alexander runs a tight ship – more my lingo.)

That’s the type of people that are suited best for Plumeria Hotel - kind and Theravadin/or at least show respect and humility. Yeah, you can party too but just be nice and show respect and a little moderation. Very important in Cambodia all over. (I’m still learning dw)

They can sort you out any tour involved in any Angkor/Khmer Complexes (i.e. temples for any non-English speakers!! kekw), mountain trips with waterfalls so even if hot you ca cool down nicely and chill up there, floating villages etc. too on Tonle Sap. All the farang attractions haha that on ppl vlogs title ‘top 10 things to do in Siem Reap/Cambodia ‘– my advice come for 30 days with VOA and just spend your days relaxing, eating lovely food and check out what this hidden gem of the world has to offer and just learn khmer, I’ve got broken Khmer down in 12 days and I am full monolingual, Alec’s helps you and makes sure nobody overcharges you, so Plumeria = safe too. 24/7 cafes abnd prridge shops plus Angkor market over the road, too convenient.

Before I left Australia and moved here to write, I spent ~10-years as a research archaeologist/geomag lab tech, but I did my undergrad in ancient civilizations arts/arc specifically (if you wanna nerd out) all over the world and whatnot - I was very impressed with all of the staff’s knowledge about their home city and the history, as well as Alec’s eng damn good – easy to understand when you tour.

Um, what else… We went on a traditional fishing trip a local lake, I met all their fam, lovely folk, then we just had a BBQ by the lake and had a nice Saturday.

For a bit of history so you know I am not talking nonsense – like, when the Khmer Empire came to power c. 900 AD (around the height and most powerful empire at the time in all SE Asia), Hinduism was always official religion prior to this catalyst, like in all of the Indian subcontinent, remember Gautama Buddah a.k.a THE BUDDAH was born on the Indian subcontinent. So, Hinduism just been the dominant religion for 2 thousand years from memory). Now, simultaneously with Buddhism (lots of sects, but here Theravada). It has been like that since thi country respects the Buddha above all. At least been the case for multi generations etc. The Khmer empire has kept this the cae ever since, been the case in this part of the world for centuties.

Rulers at the beginning of the rise of the empire, it was exclusively Hindu deities (Vishnu and Shiva etc.) and dedicated the 12th-century temple of Angkor Wat to these beliefs.

It wasn’t until King Jayavarman VII, who ruled later in the 12th and 13th centuries, that Buddhism was fully introduced to the Khmer people, they’ve embraced the train of thought and philosophy ever since.

Anyway, I gotta get back to attempt to write more novels/novellas/free verse to (hopefully, one of these days) earn some money, I know they say novellas/novels are dead, I’m gonna change that! I don’t wanna waste by Business Visa either haha.

sehr zentral Lage in kleiner Seitenstraße, somit etwas abseits der Geschäftigkeit von der Hauptstraße für einen kurzen City Aufenthalt ohne viel Schnickschnack absolut ausreichend - für den Preis für mich passend grundgereinigt Fleckige Bettwäsche, hat mich jedoch nicht gestört, hatte einen dünnen Schlafsack und habe es auch nicht angesprochen, ich bin mir sicher, dass sonst kompetent und lösungsorientiert reagiert wurden wäre Aussicht aus dem Fenster auf Hauswand des gegenüberliegenden Hauses WLan einwandfrei Funktion Klimaanlage einwandfrei für den Preis war für mich alles in Ordnung obwohl früher Anreise, vor checkin time war mein Zimmer bezugsfertig der Manager ist immer erreichbar auch wenn er gerade nicht vor Ort ist außer dem Manager sprach das Personal während meines Aufenthaltes kein englisch super zentral, man kann so viel fußläufig erkunden und ansonsten mit tuk-tuk für einen sehr günstigen Preis zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten gebracht werden

-besonders Positiv möchte ich die Kommunikation und Einsatzbereitschaft des Managers hervor heben - ich musste wegen starken Schmerzen ins Krankenhaus, der Manager kam auf Nachfrage seiner Mitarbeiterin sofort persönlich um mit mir auf englischer Sprache zu kommunizieren, er hat für mich alles in die Wege geleitet um ins Krankenhaus transportiert zu werden, er hat sich ernsthaft, Wertschätzend und sorgenvoll um mich gekümmert, mir beim Anziehen und laufen geholfen und mir meine wichtigen Unterlagen aus dem Zimmer geholt. Am Tag meines Krankenhausaufenthalts hat er sich immer wieder über WhatsApp zu meinem Befinden erkundigt und mir Seine Hilfe angeboten. Ich möchte mich hierfür sehr herzlich bedanken, er hat sehr dazu beigetragen, dass ich mich als Alleinreisende nicht allein gelassen...

A FUIR, RÉPUGNANT

J’ai réservé 2 nuits, je vais y reste 1 seule car je n’ai pas le choix, je suis arrivée trop tard pour trouver un plan B mais hors de question que j’y passe une deuxième nuit.

La chambre est dans un état répugnant.

Les draps sont sales avec des taches marrons dessus.

Il y a des choses noires partout par terre et sur les murs, je ne sais pas ce que c’est et je veux même pas savoir mais la preuve que le balai n’a même pas été passé.

Le lavabo de la salle de bain est degueulasse, pareil pour le miroir, à vomir.

La douche est à côté des toilettes, même pas de rideau pour séparer.

Ils ont même pas mis le papier toilette dans le support fait pour cela, juste déposé au dessus des toilettes.

La cuvette des toilettes est détachée, l’intérieur des toilettes n’en parlons même pas.

J’essaye de dormir mais je n’y arrive, ça me démange de partout, j’espère ne pas attraper quelque chose en dormant dans ces draps.

En fait quand je vois l’état de la chambre, je me dis qu’ils ont absolument aucun respect pour leurs clients.

Ah oui au fait, cet hôtel est présent sur internet avec différents noms, j’ai réservé sur Agoda et il s’appelle sur Agoda « Chhaya Angkor Hotel »

Sur Google on le retrouve aussi sous le nom de « Siem Reap...
