Everything here started out great. Ethan was so helpful upon check-in and even called to see how I was doing in my room. That was genuine and I appreciated that. I really wanted to like this place and come back. Sadly at night this place becomes super loud and it is hard to go to sleep. When I finally got some rest it seems the housekeepers wanted me out of the room before 11 AM. They started in the room above me stomping around, slamming stuff, moving tables around and talking extremely loud. I knocked on the ceiling and said something to them multiple times and the noise only got louder. I was packing my stuff up and around 11:03 the front desk called my room to tell me I need to get out. Before he could start I basically stopped him letting him know that I am leaving and the issue about housekeeping. I told him how the housekeepers have been extremely loud for two hours and that they were doing this on purpose. Also, they had left the vacuum running for ten minutes when they were not even in the room is why I say they did this on purpose. I could see they want to leave early so getting the rooms done faster will enable that. Sadly this ruined my stay. The front desk guy came to my room very condescending about how I could stay a few minutes longer but I needed to request that ahead of time. Maybe when a guest is upset it's not a good idea to be smart and rude to them. This does not help the situation at all. I normally leave a tip but these housekeepers ruined that. Ethan thank you so much and I'm sorry I had to leave this review after you were so helpful. The other staff need to take lessons from you and maybe you can make this motel the place I was expecting it to be. Sadly I will not be back to see it though. Also as I was pulling out the housekeepers were out smoking as I was leaving and giving me this evil looks. I'm not sure where these people are trained but it obviously needs...

This will have been my 2nd time staying with Centro Motel. Upon arriving, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. We checked in closer to 10pm, and that didn't change how we were treated by staff, same great attitude!

The rooms are updated and really give off a luxury feel. Everything was clean and comfy. The duvet was really nice and they give you these very nice soft white robes to use during your stay. I really like how they want to minimize their impact on the environment through water usage and updated eco toilets. What I thought was very neat and something that I've never seen before is that they give you older/ripped(they've been cleaned and sanitized) face towls to use as you need to clean up makeup/messes etc that could stain the white regular face cloths. This prevents you from having to pay a cleaning fee and that you're encouraged to ask management for more as you need them. Personally, I love the idea, and it's nice to see them reusing items that normally would just be thrown away.

I do wish that the air conditioning system could make the room cooler. We had a hard time sleeping because my partner and I like a cold room to sleep in. We would have opened up our window to let fresh air in but there were guests outside our window until around midnight. The plumbing is a bit loud but the building itself is a bit older so to be expected.

Overall I'll be using Centro Motel again in the future. I have friends and family in Calgary so it's nice to have a reliable place to stay that won't...

What a wonderful gem of a place! I very much enjoyed the quiet and peaceful 2 nights sleep I got from staying here.

Pillows and bed were comfortable, room was clean, strong water pressure in the shower were just what I needed to relax. The place is well maintained, and the welcome letter I found in my room added a personable approach.

The room's layout made my stay even more pleasant as it allowed me to place my items without feeling cluttered or tight (work desk and comfortable chair, clothes hangers, small fridge/freezer).

First night I arrived was a warm Calgary day but opening the windows cooled and vented the room significantly-- didn't need to use the aircon unit during both nights of my stay (last of May/first week of June).

Having arrived late my first night, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood at midnight and felt very safe.

Being near the main road and its location allowed me to take the bus downtown and drive around in a car. The relaxing hum of the road traffic disappeared when I closed my window. There are also nice places to eat within a few minutes walking distance.

While a friend suggested this place, I still called around other places. The brief and pleasant exchange I had over the phone with the front office staff, convinced me to stay here.

Checking in/out was also a pleasant experience. Very glad I stayed here.

Sending you all continued success and definitelt will...

The Centro Motel is the place to stay... especially if you have a pet!! The rooms are clean, modern and spacious, with the exception of the bathroom. The shower and toilet are in a very small space with a frosted glass door for privacy, while the sink and vanity area are at the back of the main room. The beds are comfortable and covered with a crisp white duvet. If you have a pet... I’d suggest bringing their bed, if you have one. The flooring is laminate and may not be comfortable, depending on where your pet likes to sleep. I love that I can walk out the door with my dog and not have to climb stairs, as their pet rooms are on the main level. You also have many great places to walk your dog in the area. There is a very scenic trail along the river, just across the street and a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood just behind the motel. Everything you could want or need is within walking distance, as well. Breakfast is included with your stay and they provide a selection of (waffles/pancakes, toast, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, granola bars, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, premium tea, coffee, hot choc, etc). The Centro Motel is a really nice, comfortable, pet friendly place to stay. This is my go to, every time I’m in Calgary. I always look forward to staying here.

The nicest motel I’ve ever stayed at! My boyfriend & I booked through Expedia for one night stay here. We were blown away by how modern & newly renovated everything was. So many positives overall : The check in/out process was quick and easy, room was cleaned perfectly- they even left us a note about the sheets being slightly wrinkled (so cute), also the bathroom was bigger than most of the places we’ve stayed - for example the shower had sliding glass door, with shelfs on both sides, the toilet had its own door for privacy, lots of counter space & deep sink. They also provided many clean towels for you to use. I found “the rag” (a clean cloth to be used for the messiest of messes) super cute! The bed was also vert comfy and much bigger than we expected. Being greeted with the softest robes I’ve ever felt on our bed was a nice touch! Really helped push forward their luxurious motel vibe. Overall we’d definitely come back again & again. The value for the price is just unmatched. The only thing I’d say is the walls are abit thin, the people in the room to the right of us were super loud & yelling till 6am. Not the motels fault though, we just put in the provided ear plugs & had a great sleep even with that! Thank you so much Centro motel for the great experience!
