Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Fort St. John

Ordered a Rare-Medium steak. Came out medium well. Ok. ( Reason I ordered that way was so it might come out the way I requested) Bartender/waitress was taking care of entire lounge area herself. Hats off.

She was running around entire time cleaning The mess and Mayham that happened before I arrived. Fair enough. However the important part is taking care of the person at the table atm. I Was not approached once during the course of my meal. Steak was overdone ( kitchens fault ). Upon finishing I went to bar and approached my waitress. She addressed the concern saying I didn’t need anything. She had her eye on me. I was not approached or asked about my meal at all. She proceeded to tell me she was a Manager and she was by herself. Understandable. I told her I run a food truck and most important thing is the people paying the bill. Customer service. The tables prior to me being there are not paying the bill atm. She then began telling me she didn’t need this #%%#^%#. And about circumstances in her life. I understand. Question is if she is a manager and she is struggling with timing and customer service. Should she not bring this up to her Manager ? After all this she banned me from the location. Mediocre food, poor service and what’s expected at the heat and serve Box...

Take Out section- Hubby had to order his pizza from Boston pizza since Olios got his order all wrong. He picked up his medium pizza and the total was $32! While paying for it on their interact machine the attendant asked " oh so u are bypassing the tip button?" Hubby said yes.After the over priced wings he had to pay for and now $32 for a medium pizza he was not in the mood to tip for a simple take out order that he had to retrieve on foot. They put the pizza in a box and expect the same kind of tip a Waitress gets for waiting on you. If the attendant didn't expect a tip and question Hubby about it I'm sure he would've ve found some loonies for her,but, because she was rude about it he opted not too. After shelling out $55 for a simple med.pizza and some half prepared wings and delivery he was not in the mood to b sarcastically asked for more money, it shouldve been left up to his own discretion ( he has always been a great tipper) What an upsetting night for him. Hit and miss here; sometimes it is excellent, food fresh and great service and half of the other times, food is sloppily prepared, service poor (slow).

Boston Pizza is usually a good ‘go-to’ restaurant across Canada as standards seem good. Unfortunately, FSJ location seems to lack in good oversight by Management. They should be constantly surveilling their staff for proper hygiene and sanitation (which is poor) and managing food service for HACCP principles.

Lastly, their take-out (walk in) service is really bad. I have ordered pizzas here and waited and waited for my pizza(service staff DO NOT check times or orders) and subsequently get a pizza that is lukewarm. I have waited 30 minutes for Pizza and this is at times where there are NO lunch or Dinner rushes. So, the service personnel are not being trained properly to expedite an order properly.
