As a business owner I'm constantly seeking ways to improve my business. Whether it's operational efficiency or customer service, I find myself looking at various other business, big and small, to see what I could be implementing or what I should be avoiding. The Red Coat checks all the right boxes. Their service is outstanding. Although weary from a long trip and heavy traffic, we were immediately at ease with a welcoming bottle of Niagara wine, flowers and cheese platter. Given the superb weather, we opted for Breakfast on the porch (swedish style pancake?), which was fantastic in so many ways. This quaint home has undergone substantial renovation, accenting all of its charm and leaving you with that nostalgic feeling. Most importantly, our fine hosts made us feel at home away from home. We're already planning our next visit.

Wonderful bed and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting our hosts and talking about their house and the local history. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Fridge, kettle ( coffee and tea), in room safe, iron, hair dryer. They thought of everything. They have coupons for great deals on local tours. Very pleased.

We had a fabulous time in the red coat b&b . The host was very friendly and helpful, the location was close to most of the beautiful places. B&B was clean and breakfast was home made. Thank you Sandra

Im writing a review for The Red Coat despite the fact that I didnt personally get to experience it! (Yet!) I was set to stay there tonight from out of town as we had a wine tour booked for 9am the following day. With a heavy ice storm approaching, we were a little disheartened that we wouldn't get to enioy the tour or the stay to the extent that we would have liked. Sandra at the B&B made a phone call to me days in advance informing me of the storm and that she would gladly give us the opportunity to cancel last minute with no penalty (as there normally would have been a money loss) so that we could reschedule at our leisure on a weekend we could enjoy. I thought this was an incredible and shocking act of genuine kindness that I dont think many businesses would have done. I cant think of another business calling YOU to let you keep your money due to uncontrollable weather and their concern for the customer/guest. I think anywhere else would have said "tough luck". I just really wanted to share my experience even though it was a simple phone call. It really made a difference to us and we cant wait to meet Sandra on an upcoming weekend and personally thank her for going the extra mile. Her exceptional service was absolutely...

As Shaw festival attendee's, we have always stayed in the heart of NOTL, but were happy to discover The Red Coat. The scenic drive up the Niagara parkway made door to box office trips in 12 to 18 minutes. And it is stress-free travel. Moreover, we did things that we never had done before in our many, many trips to Niagara on the lake. The Niagara Parks botanical gardens are nearby and the Canadian side of the falls is just up the road. There is a splendid butterfly garden and massive historic floral clock nearby as well. A very close Marina launches jet boats that go up the Niagara River. But the Inn and it's owners are the real stars. Super accommodations in an historic home with fabulous breakfasts. We were fortunate to choose a room that provided a huge covered balcony / veranda that was the width of the house. So whether you are doing winery tours, theater at the Shaw, history of the area, or just going to a pick your own orchard, the red coat is a...
