I'd like to give it more stars only, As a local, I often walk by during the day, in the evening and on the weekend. I think about how nice it would be to bring my mother here, have brunch with friends and sisters and spontaneously stop with my husband for a bite to eat during a walk BUT this restaurant sadly, is ALWAYS CLOSED FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS. As locals we wait all year to enjoy some of our own treasures and yet this is one, as many will attest, we joke about because it is always always closed for private functions. I find that a bit unfair. Perhaps have it open for public 3 -4 days of the week Mensing the general stop ins and closed for private functions maybe 2 -3 days. I tried to go mother's Day and it actually said closed for private function so I'm not sure what the comment above is referring too. From those I have talked to, many had tried that weekend. Yet no reservations and closed for private function. It is really sad honestly because if you travel to anywhere else in the world that has public gardens and a restaurant, you can at least always stil for tea and/ coffee and/ or a bite to eat. It's been 4 years since I've been able to eat here as it's always closed for a private function. Maybe find some kind of happy medium and consider the locals. Or maybe keep it open in the winter! How amazing would it be to sit and have hot chocolate with that view! The view is beautiful and the restaurant aesthetically inviting but as I said I've yet to be inside to eat 🤔 so until then, 2...
Read moreThere are certainly choices throughout the Niagara Region to enjoy Sunday Brunch. Like Brocks Monument, this restaurant towers above. The building & views are gorgeous. After a warm welcome by Jackies experienced team, we were escorted to our table. The selections were outlined and we enjoyed fresh fruit & veggies as the season produces abundant, fresh & local bites. The eggs Benedict was hot, poached beautifully & richly topped. Ceasar & a variety of other salad choices complimented smoked fish & cheese offerings. This Sunday Chef Bill's ricotta gnocchi were so pillowy the gargonzola cream sauce helped keep them from floating off the plate! We enjoyed lamb chops & carved flank steak with creamy horseradish & au jus. The scampi were just right. Desserts are always decadent. The homemade berry crisp and Chef's trifle were both exceptional finishes. I'm a chocolate lover and most often enjoy the flourless slice with raspberry coulis. Not this time. His creations were just about perfect. Standards and care here set the table every Sunday. The soups and selections vary excepting in the quest to delight. Thank you for another...
Read moreMy husband and I got married at Queenston Heights on September 9, 2023. From the day we met with them to discuss our wedding, to the wedding day. Jackie, was absolutely amazing. Jackie and the team, along with our wedding planner, decor company, and florist, managed to turn my dreams into a reality when it came to how i always envisioned my wedding to be.
Now. The food. Our wedding was 6 weeks ago, and people are STILL talking about how good the food was. My husband and I had the chicken, short rib, and prime rib. All meals were absolutely delicious! My only issue, was they didn't offer a formal menu tasting, HOWEVER, they did offer us complimentary brunch in the winter, which we did travel to and attend. The brunch was amazing, however, they didn't have any of our selections on the buffet, so we weren't able to test the menu prior. But this alone, will not affect any of my ratings for the restaurant.
The wait staff was incredible, and our waitress was amazing. I can not recommend Niagara Parks, and specifically, the Queenston Heights restaurant enough! If I could give them 10 stars, they would be worth every single...
