Our stay at the Prestige Radium Hot Springs Resort was enjoyable, with some minor issues that prevent it from being a perfect experience. Here’s a detailed account of our stay:
Room Condition: The room was in good condition and clean, though we encountered an issue with the air conditioner upon arrival. While maintenance responded promptly and fixed it within an hour, we found that it couldn’t be shut off afterward, requiring us to unplug it manually. The missing faceplate on the outlet added a layer of caution to this task. Despite this, the kitchenette was fantastic and served us well for our five-day stay.
Service: The service at the hotel was outstanding—arguably the best we’ve ever experienced. The staff were incredibly helpful and clearly passionate about their work. Kudos to the team for making our stay so pleasant.
Amenities: The pool was decent, albeit a bit cold, but the hot tub was wonderfully warm and relaxing. It’s worth noting that the hotel does not offer a continental breakfast, which we were aware of beforehand.
Location: The location is superb, nestled close to numerous hiking paths, restaurants, and shopping areas. It provided a great base for our adventures in Radium Hot Springs.
Safety Concern: On the first day, I had an unfortunate incident while carrying items from the car to our room. There is an outdoor access area with cement stairs, leading down to another step off to the left, which lacks proper signage. This unexpected step caused me to fall, resulting in some scrapes on my knees. I didn't report this to the hotel due to the overall excellent stay, but it is a safety concern that should be addressed to prevent future accidents.
Value: The price was very reasonable, making it a good choice for visitors to Radium Hot Springs. Despite the few minor issues and my injury, I would still recommend this hotel to others.
In summary, the Prestige Radium Hot Springs Resort provided a mostly pleasant stay with exceptional service and a convenient location. With a few improvements, it has the potential to be...
Read moreThe results of our stay were what I would expect from a Motel off the side of a hwy.
Our first night we were abruptly woken up at 10:30pm by the fire alarm. Everyone had to exit and it took 20mins for the fire department (which is next door) to arrive. The next morning I was informed that the alarm went off due to a leak in the roof that they are already aware of and that this apparently happens some times.
The hotel allows dogs which is great as we had ours as well. But the dog next door on our second night kept barking everytime it hears something. I didn’t realize it was all night until my wife informed me the next morning that it kept her up.
The sink in the bathroom backed up everytime you turned it on, it was instant water on - sink fill up. Water off slow drain. Nothing like having your used toothpaste cover the bowl. At the time I didn’t bother saying anything because the location of the room (228) is very close to the back exit and our dog is very nervous. So because it didn’t affect our sleeping I left it with the intention of informing the front desk when we left.
This might not be a deal breaker for some but if your gonna offer fresh coffee at the entrance offer coffee creamer not just packets of coffee mate. The Prestige is supposed to be a higher rated hotel, spend the money and offer coffee cream.
When I checked out I gave ample opportunity to try and see if the front desk would ask me how our stay was so I could inform them of all I have now shared, but she seemed to be not interested whatsoever told me to drop my key in the box and that I was good to go. So I offered as much in return.
Would I stay here again, no I would probably drive the extra 10mins to Invermere where there are more options. The saving grace for this hotel was the connected restaurant.
Also $63 additional fee for a dog for 2...
Read moreReally disappointing experience at this hotel. We stayed for one night on August 15th, and had chosen to go through Radium instead of the alternative on our way to BC because we thought the hotel looked pretty nice. We booked the morning of, and were quite shocked to be informed upon arrival that due to a mudslide a few days prior, the water in the hotel was unsafe to drink or brush our teeth with. A notice prior to booking our almost $200 a night room would have been nice. We were provided with 2 bottles of water for the night, and weren't allowed any more. The woman at the counter assured us the water was still safe to shower with, which made no sense to us.
We went down to the restaurant to eat and read up on the water situation a bit more. We learned from the radium website that it was advised we used hand sanitizer after using the water to wash your hands. We went to the front desk again to clarify a few things regarding the water and told her what we read. She was condescending and asked if we were planning on eating with our hands. Yeah, we were planning on eating tacos in the Mexican restaurant in your hotel..
So after an entire day of being on the road, it was too late to find another place. My boyfriend was too concerned to even use the shower. The snack vending machines were no where to be found and had out of order signs where they were supposed to be. No ATM anywhere in the hotel to buy more water from the drink vending machines. Oh, and no free breakfast in the morning despite all of this. Nothing 'prestige' about the customer service in this place and definitely wasn't worth almost $200 to not be able to use the water. It ruined a big part of our roadtrip and we won't be back.
+1 for the super friendly waiter in the...
