Argyll Plaza Hotel — Hotel in South Industrial District

Our room had a decent sized bathtub for it being a hotel. Instead of the complimentary breakfast being nothing more then muffins you had a choice between cereal, toast, butter, jam, honey, and muffins. (Which they charge you $20 for but include it in their total price.) It's because of this i give the hotel 2/5 stars instead of 1/5 stars.

The bathroom door had a tenancy to get stuck shut. I could turn the handle but not open the door. If i was traveling alone i would have been stuck in there until the next day, when house keeping came. Luckily my friend was able to get the door open, by body slamming the door.

There was no hot water. The best i got was 18° warm water. You almost have to break the handle to get it give you warm water, otherwise it wants to give you ice cold water. Having a shower at three in the morning didn't change things.

You got a very basic shaw cable box. It didn't come with Netflix. If you want Netflix, you have to get your own equipment then hook it up to the tv yourself. The tv was old, but, does have HDMI.

There was no password on the WiFi. As such anyone could figure out what your doing on the internet, and even steal your info.

My advice to you is save yourself $30 bucks a night and go to a super 8 or...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I must say that the staff really exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, their warm smiles and friendly demeanor made me feel immediately welcome. I want to give a special thanks to Steve, who went above and beyond to help me with the utmost respect and professionalism.

After a long drive, a late night arrival and an exam the next day, I was relieved to find such a comfortable and convenient environment. The rooms were immaculate and gave me a refreshing sense of cleanliness that relaxed me. In addition, the spaciousness of the rooms provided enough peace and relaxation.

While the overall experience was great, one aspect that could use some improvement is the interior design. Although it was clean and well maintained, it looked a bit dated. A modern touch will surely improve the overall atmosphere of the hotel.

In conclusion, I am really looking forward to my next stay at this outstanding hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms were filthy and disgusting. When I arrived, I was put into a room that had dried urine surrounding the base of the toilet and the floor. After alerting the front desk staff, I was moved to a second room. No urine, but on inspection of the bed I noticed that the pillow was dirty with what appeared to be make up. I pulled the covers of the bed back and noticed a red blood stain in the center of the bed on the sheets. I complained to the staff, and they brought up random sheets and advised they did not know how to make the bed. I requested a refund of the room (at 11 pm), and was given a third room instead (which had gross crusty floors near the bed, but at least the sheets seemed clean).

On leaving, I was told I would receive a discount for the quality of the stay. I did not, I was charged full price as per my credit card statement. I didn't expect much of this hotel for the price (I booked as it was 4 minutes from my appointment the next day), but given the positive reviews I at least expected cleanliness. I would avoid this hotel, there are better in the area and worth the extra $30 a night in...
