New customer to this restaurant and absolutely happy with everything. The food was freshly made to order and with fresh ingredients that really popped through. I ordered the veg biryani and dahl tak (sorry if misspelled), which came with fresh naan. Price was reasonable and the portions are good and large. I really enjoyed the combination of spices in their dishes and was quite happy it wasn't just your typical butter\cream\masala concoction but rather had a delightful play of spicy nuances for your pallet. I was able to divvy these two dishes into 7 meals for myself (likely would have been more, but I kept stuffing my face!) and the quality didn't diminish. The woman tending front of house is extremely kind and goes above and beyond to ensure her customers leave happy and well fed. The only suggestion that I might have is this: Call ahead if you want to pick up. Orders take 15-20 min to prepare, which is not bad at all. It means that you're getting an excellent, freshly...
Read moreWas working in town and I saw the restaurant a few times passing by. Not having had my Indian Food fix for a couple weeks I thought I would give it a try. I brought one of my employees who is from Slovenia and has never tried Indian Food. He was quite hesitant but said he enjoyed it along with his King Fisher beer and a nice Masala Chi Tea afterwards. Garima looked after us while Apu was busy away in the kitchen. I loved the Pani Puri starter and the Tamarind is exceptional. Not thin like normal but kind of like a suryp with a great flavor. We had the appetizer platter to get a bit of a variety. The Tandoori chicken was superb and so juicy. Fish Pakora, Alloo Gobi, Vegetable Pakora, and the Chicken Samosa was all very tasty. We over did it with Chicken Tiki Masala, Safron Rice and the Garlic Nan that was so good. We were still full most of the next day. My new Go To Indian Restaurant when I come...
Read moreI was randomly in Edmonton for one night and I thought I’d try this Indian spot
By God was an impressed. I ordered the puri chole and aloo mattar - Vegetarian dishes.
They tasted better than the best meat dishes I’ve ever had in Calgary at an Indian restaurant.
And I was asked what I wanted for my spice level and I told them not to hold back and they did not hold back lol it was so spicy but extremely tasty exactly what I asked for.
I think they even gave me extra naan bread. And I got a free sweet to try a chocolate barfi
I paid less than $30 for food that could’ve fed a family of six!!!!
When an Indian restaurant can make a vegetarian dish, taste better Than a meat dish then you know you are in good hands!!
Can’t wait to come back to Edmonton and try the rest of their menu!!
And the service was amazing!! And the quality of the food Was beyond fresh!!!!
I was very impressed!! That...
