I was here a day ago. The place is a dump. Unsafe, messy, everything but Service Canada and one food court restaurant is open. Everything has gone out of business. Massive lineup and only two people were inside at the time. Not in a safe area at all, especially if you have children. You're better off going to the Cambridge location or the Passport office. Only one elevator out of three that I found worked. It's a nightmare for anyone with a disability or a stroller to navigate. I ended up having to pay for parking even though I was only there for a few minutes (it's $2.00 for 30 minutes). I was not impressed with it because of a security guard who works there. I would have made it back to my vehicle in time and not have to pay if this security wasn't condescending and rude.
The security guard was on an "I wanted to be a cop but didn't make it, so I'm going to abuse my powers" high. After seeing the massive lineup, I turned around to go back to the only elevator working in the building to get back to my car. The security guard yells at me, saying, "Miss. Where are you going?"
"Umm, to my car."
She then scolds me and says I can't go that way because they're closing it down for construction. Proceeds to give me wrong directions to a different elevator. I tried to go back to the old one because that one wasn't working. She again has an attitude and gives directions for another one.
I go to the other one. She stalks me and follows my baby and me to the elevator in the garage, and says in a condescending tone, "Oh, look, you found it."
If she treats a woman and an infant like that, I'm willing to bet she treats homeless people a hundred...
Read moreWe arrived to the Market Square at 3:10 and left at 4:08. when we came we were 5th in this location. Within 40 minutes only two people were served. Then more people came in, all together 14. At this time there were two service representatives working. Then two other came and served other two people but then they left and never returned. I asked at the reception why they do not have more people working as this time wait is unacceptable. People could be looking for jobs rather than sitting and waiting for help.
We only needed signature verification on our documents and it took maybe 3 minutes to do so. When the door closed at four the service representative served us quickly and efficiently.
I admit that service representatives are knowledgeable and helpful, as long as you are not frustrated by their slow services, as I was. This is not an accidental situation as it happens every time we come. Since we have to do this every three months, we find services in this location to be extremely slow. We believe there should be a fast lane for services that only need a few minutes, like signature or documents verification, or giving new SIN numbers, etc.
This location is beautiful but parking is sometimes hard to find. The pervious location at Weber Street was much better, even though not as appealing as this location is. No matter how you slice this, service speed should...
Read moreI liked this location, as it put an office at this side of town finally. The things I don't like is the computers aren't allowed to change languages (accent egueevery time you hit the apostrophe key is reduculous), the managers have very little authority to get problems sorted out to circumvent policy that often runs services around in endless circles over extensive agonizing periods of time that become arduous for people simply seeking what laws are supposed to guarantee but aren't under the current Government. The people who work here are doing a job but are patient with waiting for me to finish up after hours on the computer after their work day is done. The office moving from this location is a bad move in my opinion as it had decent parking, was in a newer building and could be extended if needed quite easily. Being right down from the 401 helped the Manny commuters with convenience instead of trucking to far less convenient locations. I'm sad it's moving and am curious as to why. C TV is right next door but they obviously can't be trusted to ask any questions that may challenge the endless Liberal craziness in the area. Money payouts ensure that......we all saw that during...
