I stayed here for one month, in October 2018, and it was by far hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in my whole life, anywhere, and I will always remember it. This includes places I've stayed at in Asia, Europe, and North America...and I have a couple of decades of serious travel to compare it with :) The place itself is very charming, clean, quiet, very cozy and comfortable, with big couches in the common lounge, a big harvest table where we had a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner together, thanks to the hosts, and several sweet tiny cabins in the back, small huts with a bed or two and a chair, one of which I was able to call basically mine for a month and that I loved and appreciated so much. The place is in an excellent location as well, only a five minute walk to the downtown bars/restaurants/cafes, but off a quiet side street so best of all worlds. But above and beyond anything else was the management, who were (are) just amazing, kind, helpful, hilarious, friendly, and were a real highlight for my month in Whitehorse. I am forever grateful to their hospitality and generosity, and for making my month long stay in Whitehorse so special, so memorable and gorgeous. Thank you so much, wishing you all the very...
Read moreThis past September I had the good fortune of spending a few days in Whitehorse for a last minute adventure. I'd planned to stay at the Beez Kneez hostel for only a night while I got my bearings, but soon realized this was a perfect spot to stay for the week. Host Sara is helpful, friendly - clear with useful guidelines for guests and does everything she can to make every guest comfortable, and find what they need for their stay in Whitehorse. The accommodation itself is clean, cozy, comfortable and welcoming. Some private rooms/bunkies made it perfect for a me - someone who wanted some privacy, but appreciated meeting other folks exploring whitehorse as well hearing tips and suggestions from Sara. Thanks for being such a welcoming and friendly host to Whitehorse . Thinking of you - and hoping you have very happy holidays with your family. |Jules -...
Read moreThere are definetly both positives and negatives. The positives are that the house is clean, the showers are warm, the beds are descent, the host has a lot of knowledge of the area and it is a good place to meet people. The negatives are that the hostel is basically an old house with a few bedrooms and sheds turned into dorms. I didn't find the hostel very welcoming. I also wasn't a fan of how the manager would touch your bags and belongings and move them. Also, the Wi-Fi is basically unusable. The hostel has a rule that you cannot watch any videos or download on the Wi-Fi. It's probably on the lower end of hostels that I have stayed at, but it wasn't a terrible experience, and the house was unique because of the bee theme and pictures all over the walls. I met a bunch of good...
