506 All Day Grill — Restaurant in Whitehorse

If I could give a 0 rating, I would! Wow, what a gong show of an experience I just had. I don't write that many reviews, but i came here to have a couple of appies, the calamari and the nachos. Both just as bad. The calamari was cheap frozen and no flavor. No toppings, just plain, the nachos, my gosh. They were absolutely horrible!! The were over cooked with burnt chips on top. The onions weren't even diced up, just big thick round slices. The tomatoes were big chunks the cheese was just in clumps, need I go on!!! I told the waitress I was sending them back and she just stood there looking at them, looking at them like what was wrong them, so I pulled out the big chunks of onions and said they were no good. She came back with the bill still charging us for them along with a charge for a refill, you would think an all day grill would have free refills. However, I went on to tell her that no, I don't feel comfortable paying for them and I wouldn't! She went back and talked to her manager and came back and said that they wouldn't be taking it off the bill and that we ate half of them. Ya, no. We ate a couple chips off of the top and that was it, picked through them and pushed them aside. So why would I pay for something that I could clearly make batter at home myself! I got upset and rightfully so, told her I would like to speak to her manager, she told me her manager doesn't speak English very well. I got up to go in the restaurant and she was on the phone. Hung up and said okay they could take half of them off the bill. UMMM NO! like come on, how much $ are they really loosing on a lousy few nacho chips with eff all for toppings!!! To say the least, what a horrible experience and will not be returning to this...

My bf and I tried this place a couple months ago for the first time.It was half full, and only one server, the owner. We waited a few minutes to have our order taken, understandably, and after that the food came pretty quickly. That was about the end of the service. We finished our meals, and sat at the table for at least 15 minutes with the owner whizzing by us several times, not taking our plates, not giving us our bill. We figured, okay, maybe she's a bit flustered, no biggie. When we did finally get our bill, we left thinking we would give it another try in the future.

That other try came last weekend, and I have to say, nothing has improved. Again, the owner was the only server on duty, the restaurant had only about 5 tables in total. We are noticing a pattern that she is quick to seat new customers and take their orders, but THAT IS IT. Once you get your food, the service is over. Again, after finishing our meals, we sat there with dirty plates for a good 15 minutes. She went by us several times, ignoring us, our dirty plates, and the obvious signs that we wanted our bill so we could get on with our day. After 20 minutes she finally said, "come get your bill", waving to the front counter.

Needless to say - not very impressed with this place. The food is "okay" at best, and the service is absolutely terrible. She needs to learn to finish a table just as well as starting one.

January 2, 2022 Our meal was absolutely fabulous! Can't say enough about it! Definitely in the top 3 of best meals EVER! No lie! My steak neptune was cooked to perfection and soooo tasty as were my friends ribs! Highly recommend! My only complaint is that it's always cold in there which I had forgot and wasn't dressed accordingly. Put a sweater on and you're good to go to enjoy an amazing meal! Our server was very pleasant too 🙂

Edit February 26, 2022 Went back again for the seafood neptune and steak. The steak was great again but the seafood neptune was incredibly salty. Appetizers were spot on though 👍 (crab stuffed mushrooms and calamari). And this time, I dressed warmer and low and behold, it was warm in there for the first time ever 😮👏. Hopefully that keeps up! I would recommend dressing in layers just in...
