A really pleasant place. A lovely bar and the food was good. That being said I ordered a martini and it was ok and then an ole fashioned. Being somewhat of a newb to classic cocktails and having read up on how they’re made I couldn’t drink this one. There was no sugar and the orange peel wasn’t muddled at all, I wanted to ask for soda water water it down a bit it was too strong for me. This might be because I’m not much of a drinker, in truth... I ordered garlic prawns which were delicious but for the price a little shy on the goods, I thought. Additionally I had the rustic linguini which while lovely wasn’t what I expected. It was supposed to be tossed in a basil pesto, but was only olive oil. Now granted, it’s the Yukon and there may be some ingredients unavailable. And the food was delicious. The waitress didn’t seem to notice me that much when my glass was empty and I never received a requested glass of water. Overall though I would go back despite the prices. It’s very pricey. $78 for 2 drinks, linguini, 6 prawns and a creme Carmel which was absolutely yummy I might add. I would just have to be a little more conscious of my choices.

We were excited to dine here after hearing good things but unfortunately left with a big bill and unsatisfied. We got the prawns and spinach dip as appetizers and both were good! We had mains of a chicken skewer with Caesar salad and a ribeye steak with potato wedges. The chicken was good but even with requesting extra dressing for the Caesar salad it was still dry and bland. All I could taste was lettuce and the shredded parm on top. The ribeye was chewy and bland with 1/3 of the steak being all fat. Nobody asked us how the food was; hence why I’m writing this review vs bringing it up while I was there. The water tasted dusty and then we saw all the dust on the sides of the wall. When leaving we looked into the kitchen and noticed every thing from chicken, steak and bread all being cooked on the same flat top grill amongst each other. We will not be returning.

Stopped in around 8:30pm for a late snack and drinks. As I walked in and waited on a host to seat me, a cook asked me if I was there for a pick up order as he rushed past me. Not a best first impression the way it came off. Ordered a Moscow Mule and it tasted nothing of ginger or alcohol. Wound up sending it back for an Old Fashioned, which came back out perfect. There are these fake LED blue candles on each table. But instead of complimenting what is an admittedly very modern and nice decor, they are instead relied upon for table lighting and honestly hurt my eyes. I pushed it behind the table drink card stand. The Cranberry Elk sausage was amazing. Hands down. The crispy coated ginger honey Calamari was less than desirable and over battered. I’d come back again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice by any means.

When we were seated, there were 2 tables occupied - the rest of the restaurant was empty.

The server took our drinks order. After 30 minutes of waiting we had to ask where our drinks were. They were eventually made after we had inquired about them, we were sat across from the bar and we watched them make the drinks there and then, before bringing them over to us. Two of these orders were tall boys, which is essentially a can of beer served with an empty glass - the order was clearly forgotten about until we asked our server. Not to mention, there were two servers and a bartender standing around the bar chatting the whole time.

Next up was the food, we ordered a single appetizer and another appy to be served with the 3 main courses. Another 60 minutes pass, meanwhile other tables that had been seated after us were already enjoying their meals before we had to (yet again) ask our server for the ETA of our food. Just like with our drinks order the food arrived within 60 seconds of us asking about it, "great!" You'd think - but upon inspection of our halibut dish, the fish itself was overcooked and the vegetables on the same plate was cold. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the vegetables had been sitting on a plate for a long time, waiting for the overcooked protein to accompany it. The same situation arose for the steak and scallops that were also part of our order.

We called our server over and informed them of the issues with our meals. Shortly afterwards another server, masquarading as the manager came over to discuss our complaints. What occurred next was a discussion where they offered to reheat an already overcooked Halibut, and then proceeded to patronize the table about how restaurants work, and that the cold vegetables were due to... and i quote "the door blowing cold air over the plate for a couple of minutes". To add to this, we were never asked if we wanted refills or other drinks from the bar after being there for 1.5 hours.

It became clear to us at this point that this establishment does not listen to customer feedback, and would rather antagonize and patronize their diners instead of take ownership of the issues and attempt to make things right.

We ate our subpar meals, purely because we had been in their restaurant for almost 2 hours and frankly were too hungry and irritated to go run the gauntlet anywhere else.

After finishing our meals we were essentially ignored before the server who likely drew the short straw came over to ask if everything was ok. We asked to speak to the person we were lead to believe is the manager again in the hope that explaining the absolute disaster of an evening we had may prompt them to do something to try and salvage this evening.

Needless to say, we were met with more defensive, patronizing, and argumentative behaviour. This same person also said they were just a server and there was no manager working this evening. We had suspicions we were being lied to considering every interaction had been disingenuous and borderline hostile, as such we asked a separate server if there was a duty manager working, and much to no one's surprise, there was! We asked to see them.

The manager came over, and was equally hostile, if not more so than the previous person pretending to be the manager. We attempted to explain our point of view (for the THIRD time now), the manager kept interrupting us and telling us what their staff told them. As we were now expecting what the manager was told was completely untrue, and when we asked for a reduction on our $190 bill - they bluntly refused. We were stonewalled into paying a considerable amount of money for atrocious service, with staff that have terrible attitudes when customers do not receive food to their liking.

It is unfortunate that it has come to writing a scathing review, but no attempt was made to rectify several errors and unnecessarily long wait times. Customers beware, avoid...

Well, where to start. This was possibly one of my worst dining experiences ever and I caution anyone against trying this place. My wife and I showed up and asked if they had room for two for dinner, the server said yes. I requested a booth seeing three of them empty. She said yes, give me a minute. She came back and sat us in the middle at a table for two, when I asked again for a booth, she told me they were not available. They were empty the whole time we dined there. My wife was just drinking water and I asked for a dark rum and Coke. The bartender stated she had Kraken, I said no I did not want spiced, just dark. She then proceeded to tell me that kraken was. It spiced rum… it is. The server stopped my to fill my empty water glass, which my wife had swapped out with hers and they did not fill her water glass, just mine. I watched the server argue with a table over the bill when she questioned the automatic gratuity for a table of 4. When our pizza arrived, it was the wrong pizza, I asked to see a menu to confirm I did not order the wrong pizza. In asking for the menu they seemed confused and had to repeat my request. The server said he would correct the order and gave us a new pizza which the kitchen advised would be 10 minutes. The new pizza showed up in 7 minutes, I’m unsure how they pulled this magic off, but I have never seen a new pizza cook in 7 minutes. To correct his mistake the server offered a free appy to hold us over, this consisted of a slice pita bread with what looked to be a day old mayonaise. We did not even try this. Our appy of garlic shrimp consisted of some shrimp that my wife thought were under cooked and not really tender in a barely warm garlic butter. When my wife went to the bathroom she was made aware of an ongoing dispute between the staff, meaning people going to the bathroom could hear them argue. Not sure the role of the bartender but she seemed to be the manager and decided it was a casual Saturday and came to work in blue jeans. We dine out several times a week throughout town but will not be coming back here any time soon unless it has a change of attitude. I would not consider this establishment fine dining and would not recommend anyone eating here. When the order first came out wrong I offered to my wife to call it a night and cut our losses, she encouraged us to stay and wait for the pizza. On the bright side, if I order pizza to go in the future, I know it can be ready...

I wish there was a way to give a - ✨️ The restaurant was beyond hot, dark and cramped. The service was a bismal, 4 out of 6 of our appetizer plates was dirty, greasy and had stuck on food.....then there was the food itself!! The appetizers came out incomplete and had to be remade....the rice was burnt and ice cold, the potatoes were dry&powdery, the calamari and desserts were store bought, the asparagus was not cleaned and was served with the hard inedible wooded ends.....and there was no seasoning on ANYTHING. Our waitress was advised each and every time a new problem was discovered. If a supposed "chef" was working in that kitchen, then they need to go back to school if they can't even cook rice and clean asparagus. The audacity to charge $38-$40 a plate for that food is beyond appalling. Then to find out the "New Owners" don't offer any type of discount or compensation to their customers to make the experience right, is astonishing! They clearly don't support their customers or wish to inspire return visitors! GOOD LUCK new owners!

UPDATE: received a call from the owner, incredibly rude, raising her voice, arguing that we are wrong about the food and that the review is unwarranted. Would not let me speak. First off, dont dare tell people they are wrong if they don't like your product, that's not your place to tell people their opinion, second from the owners own words there are other negative reviews from others in another party......so it appears we were not the only ones. AND ALL the bad reviews don't lie. To the owners in all seriousness, you might want to learn humility because this is what....your 3rd restaurant that could run into trouble. I don't believe the restaurant business is for you. You don't have the food knowledge, no decerning culinary palette and an ATTROCIOUS attitude to customers. If you stop throwing temper tantrums when there's an issue and make it right, your going to continue lossing more and more business. Until we see a missiolin star in your kitchen..... there's always room for improvement. For a small town, you're doing your utmost best to ailienate the community. Because your responses to customers are juvenile...
