North Dragon — Restaurant in Whitehorse

Unfortunately, and sadly, I need to change my rating on the North Dragon Restaurant.

I placed a delivery order some months after my last review.

Our order included Wonton Soup, Special Chop Suey, Special Chow Mein, Sweet&Sour Chicken Balls, Garlic Dry Garlic Spareribs, plus extra side dishes of Deep Fried Shrimp and Lemon Chicken. It was very disappointing.

The Deepfried Shrimp, was more deep fried dough with a tiny little shrimp inside. So much so, it was funny and sad.

The Lemon Chicken was coated deep fried chicken. It became Lemon Chicken, by adding a side container of sweet and sour sauce with a lemon sliced in it, to pour on top. I guess.

It was the same sauce as the Sweet & Sour for the Chicken Balls. We figured that out by the pineapple pieces in one sauce and lemon slices in another.

The Special Chop Suey is broccoli, carrots, celery & bok choy with pork slices in a sauce. No bean sprouts. The Special Chow Mein, in our order, was noodles and tiny cocktail shrimp. Both dishes were not special. They were mediocre.

The Dry Garlic Spareribs very small, not much meat. But basically same as anywhere else.

I didn't taste the Won Ton, but was told it was good.

Our family has used this restaurant for many years. The food has always been so good. So, not sure why the change.

It's a shame really, but I won't be ordering again. I've given two stars, because the customer service is pleasant and the order was delivered within about 30 min.

This was my review in 2023. This is really good Chinese food. I ordered the Combination A. Not greesy. Lots of food for a single order.

I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I live really close to them and feel the delivery fee could be a bit less, when the order is within 2 miles.

We thought we'd go and have a nice meal since theyve been closed for awhile, just to have doughy prawns, cold chicken balls under hot S&S sauce and no beef in our beef hot pot which had huge chunks of ginger in it, the chicken wings were great but not the greatest meal for what we paid ($100)....it was way too busy to even let them know about how our service went, we just wanted to get out of there as we had 2 children with us. They said you get a free litre of pop if you spent $60 or more before tax. This was a big lie. I spent 65 before tax, 75 in total, and got nothing for free. They’re tidbits are half salty, half flavourless. They Singapore noodles doesn’t have the right flavour and it’s missing spices — I have to recook this on my own.
