Yah this burrito was somehow $30. Total waste of money. Read "the full story" below.

Edit: The only difference between this burrito and the re-made one was maybe 2oz of tough chewy steak. The second burrito you brought me didnt even have any cheese. Just steak, rice and beans with a few shreds of lettuce and tomato. It was also the same size and was $30 after tip so its not much different. Having been told i was wrong about the first one not having meat, which clearly wasn't true, just made me eat my burrito, leave and pay without causing an argument over the second mistaken burrito. Your wait staff should have looked at the burritos (both because the second was cheese-less) before bringing it out. How did he even know it was my steak burrito if it didn't have any meat? It was my first night in town and I wasn't looking to argue with wait staff. The burrito also had no sides and was pretty small for the super hefty price tag. I am afraid a pleasantly written response doesn't over-shadow overpriced, low quality food.

Don't blame this on me. Take ownership of your mistakes. Especially considering you phrased it as "fixing the burrito at no charge". Why? Do you normally charge people when your...

The place was cute, no public restrooms is something to mention for sure. The hostess was also the waitress, and the only one working the floor - she was very helpful, patient, and sweet. She did her best to make every customer happy and satisfied before leaving. Immediately we ordered 2 appetizers, mexi-tots and some chips and salsa, and the chips and salsa came out quickly, right after we ordered our dinner. I ordered 4 tacos, 2 steak chimichurri, and 2 pork belly - my partner ordered a steak burrito of sorts. Our food came out before the other app - the pork belly tacos were delicious, although lacking some seasoning. The steak was absolutely disgusting... on both the tacos and the burrito. It was a pale brown, which is a color I've never seen steak before (perhaps it was.. boiled? ) chewy, and flavorless. I could only eat a bite or two, as well as my partner. We wanted to give it a shot... so we ate on the chips and salsa.. didn't get the Mexi-tots until long after we were ready to leave, and no longer hungry. To make up for it though, the staff did give us some free church's- like I said, the staff is not the bad part here. They were all very kind.. but the food just...

Unfortunately, friendly staff is the only thing La Cara has going for it. The burritos were miniscule, plus they add an extra 9-10$ per burrito if you dine in. For $24 per burrito, I was expecting something decently sized. Before ordering I asked the staff why the extra money for dine in they said the portion size increased, but I cannot possibly believe that anymore because then how small could the take out options be?

We waited 25 min for our 2 burritos and when they arrived one of the burritos was cold. The staff was kind enough to, without prompting, offer a free desert as an apology for the wait, which we appreciated. The churros were ok)

The taste of the burritos was fine...but again for 25$ a burrito I was expecting a lot more punch.

With 2 other Mexican restaurants in town, La Cara is really going to need go step up their game if they want to have solid...

Visited last night after my first trip here in late August - Anika immediately recognized me and welcomed me back to the restaurant. How fantastic is that? Food was delicious, haven't gotten past the tacos to try any other entrees on the menu yet but salsas were fresh and flavourful and the hot chocolate and churros were on point as well. Best wishes for continued success - I'll definitely be back. Edit: one suggestion for consideration. Would appreciate it if you would change restaurant policy to allow people to select different proteins/flavours as part of a 3-taco order instead of just limiting us to just one type. Thank you!
