Hostal Del Este — Hotel in Coyhaique

First, we came to the hostel at night with a question, if it would be possible to spend there few nights for 20 000 CLP per night for both of us. The guy, who runs the place, said that it's totally ok and we came in. After paying 5 nights always in advance, I asked him, if I could save some money by spending two nights off the house and pay only for one person, 10 000 CLP. He said it's ok again. When I came back, he told me to pay the whole price, as if we didn't talk about it earlier, because he now wants the price for the room, not for persons. I was surprised, but I understood and paid him the whole price as if I was on the hostel for both nights. Than, I asked him to write a bill. He wrote only a half of the price and told me that if I want to have the other bill, for the second half of the price, I have to pay him 80 000 CLP. I told him no and that if he's gonna make me troubles and will not give me the other bill, I will call my lawyer. He got angry, started to shout at me and finally, gave me the other bill. We left the other morning and we will never come back. One day he went to our room, when we were not there and he took our heating, without saying a word before, nor after. And you really need one in these months. I don't recommend this...

Estimado don Juan Carlos gracias por recibirnos en su hostal, me senti como en casa.||Bueno aqui va mi experiencia. Despues de un largo viaje desde Santiago el vuelo se retrasl 3 horas debido a que no pudo aterrizar en Coyaique y se tuvo que devolver a puerto mont, al momento de llegar a la ciudad de coyaique recibimos el llamado del dueño del hostal preguntandonos como estabamos y si habiamos llegado a la ciudad, luego al llegar al hostal nos atendio la hija del dueño la cual fue muy amable y nos instalo en el dormitorio el cual es alfombrado y cuenta con una cama matrimonial, ademas de un closet bastante amplio y bonito (a mi gusto) la piesa ademas tenia un velador, una lampara y un calefactor. La habitacion no tenia ningun olor a humedad o algo por el estilo, todo estaba muy limpio, de la misma manera se encontraba el baño que si bien era un baño compartido estaba radiante y sin ningun mal olor, esto es algo muy importante en cualquier tipo de servicio (limpieza). Con respecto a la atencion del desayuno este fue muy buen a mi parecer, el dueño nos atendio con un buen desayuno por la mañana el cual comienza entre 7:30 am hasta las 10 am aprox. Este contenis jugo de naranja con un cafe o te, acompañado de un pan amasado, para acompañar este habia queso, jamon de ave y/o jamon de cerdo.||Luego de salir a recorrer la ciudad decidimos volver y acostarnos temprano pero antes de eso quisimos tomarnos un te a lo cual nos ofrecieron usar ls cocina para lo que nos fuera necesario incluso nos ofrecieron te o cafe sin costos adicionales. Esto principalmente nos hizo sentir como estar en casa.||El lugar es un lugar economico con respecto a los demas precios del sector, si bien le faltan algunas comodidas minimas el servicio fue bueno para mi gusto y para lo que pague. ||Asi que lo recomiendo como un lugar para quedarse si no estas buscando algo hostentoso. Our stay in the hostal during our trip to Coyhaique happened to be a pleasure while we were very well treated by the owner and manager, Juan Carlos Soto, a man from the place, who got to Coyhaique for work and ended up falling in love with the city and its people.
