Hostal Patagonia Live — Hotel in Coyhaique

We stayed at Hostal Patagonia Live! at the end of August 2014 and were incredibly happy with our accommodations. The rooms (while not large) were clean and quiet with private bathrooms and free wi-fi, the breakfasts were lovely, the beds were comfortable, but most of all our host couldn't have been more accommodating. Although we have very limited Spanish language skills, Victor Acevedo Rivera helped us plan our days, suggested dinner options, and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. We stayed at Victor's lovely hostal for two nights. Despite our incredibly poor grasp of the Spanish language he went above and beyond to communicate with us, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He even dropped us off at the bus station ensuring we were able to buy tickets and get on our way. Our room was delightful with a good bathroom and block out blinds. Patagonia Live was a disappointment to us. Although Victor was nice, the room was up a narrow, winding staircase and was barely large enough for one person, much less a couple. We had a very early bus trip scheduled so we asked Victor if he could call a cab for us the night before. He asked us what time we needed to be picked up, wrote it down, and also asked where we were going. The bus never arrived and we had to haul all our luggage the 8 blocks to the bus station...
