We paid $75 per night and I'll list some of the things you get for that for you to make up your mind if you agree with my review.|| ||No internet||Cold water shower ||No air con (electric fan)||Rooms are cleaned Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only.||No breakfast included||Guests are responsible for cleaning kitchen (so it's pot luck as to their hygiene standards) ||||The manager Is a very friendly guy but we didn't feel that he gave us anywhere near the information he could have to warrant a better review based on the cost per night.||||I've stayed in countless places with these basic facilities but have paid a fraction of the cost. For me it isn't a big ask to offer internet, hot water and breakfast for that price. I also think there should be more flexibility in room cleaning or fresh towels especially if you arrive on a Saturday. ||||It's about a 15minute walk from the main square and to the harbour and if you fancy staying here there are plenty of small places to eat close by and the airport is a 5minute drive from the lodge (the owner will pick you up and drop you off as and when...
Read moreThis was a very special trip for me, as it was for my birthday and Kahina Lodge truly played a huge part of the unforgettable memories! Personally, I enjoy staying in the heart of any location that I travel to so that I can step outside and be in the middle of the daily life. Kahina Lodge is exactly that! It’s at one end of the Main Street, you’ll be able to walk to any shop/restaurant you’d need and the water. My room was very charming, comfortable and clean, and Nicole who manages the guesthouse welcomed me warmly. I love the grounds of the accommodation as they really gave me an authentic experience of being on this incredible island. The breakfast every morning was prepared on time and there was plenty to eat! I was also able to wash my clothes as I stayed for a week. I have traveled extensively around the world and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kahina Lodge to anyone! I’m looking forward to staying there again should I return...
Read moreWe had a great week staying with Poe and his three lovely dogs (one is a very cheeky puppy). We were picked up at the airport and given a tour around Hanga Roa before arriving at the lodge. Poe provided us an incredibly thorough explanation of the CONAF map of the island which was incredibly helpful!||||Room was huge with a fridge to store the ample breakfast supplies provided and good bathrooms with hot water. Kitchen is basic but has everything you need to cook in (a necessity on Easter Island as food is not that cheap in restaurants). Just be aware of the mosquitos! Awesome location and whilst there is no wifi there are a few zones around town for free which are pretty good.||||We were even invited to join in with a family lunch on Saturday which was very kind (and delicious)! We just wish we had more Spanish so we could interact...
