Going to Easter Island will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's important to go to a hotel where people really care about you. I can definitely say that Tea Nui is a great place to stay.||It is a great location: near to the airport (don't worry about noise. Only 2 flights a day). Near to the road to get to all the sites. Comfortable rooms. But most importantly: really great people! The 3 people we dealt with the most all spoke excellent English and were so warm and welcoming to us.||Javiera was so responsive by email and also gave us great tips on places to go. Nancy, the cook, made fresh bread for breakfast, wonderful pates, delicious fruit salads that included fruits from the hotel's garden, and crepes made fresh every morning! She truly wants you to have the freshest, most delicious food for breakfast. And she wants you to eat a lot of it!||Rosario is really special. We flew into Isla De Pascua late at night and after collecting our bag, there she was waiting for us. Rosario is very sweet and welcoming. She seems to work all the time. We asked her about it and she said, this is what I love to do. She recommended two great restaurants to us. She drove us back to the airport and made sure everything was great.||I've stayed at hotels all over the world, but when my wife and I left her, we felt like we were...
Read moreWe booked this as part of an intrepid package and I'm not sure the previous negative reviews are warranted. We had such a warm, friendly greeting with a delicious juice and then a little orientation. We honestly felt like long lost family returning home. ||||Loved going for a swim in the little pool they had with the family's kids & while they didn't speak any English it was nice to have a splash and realise we all laugh in the same language!||||The room was clean and comfy, as was the bathroom & we really enjoyed the glass door opening out onto the deck with a little garden around. The roosters did crow and there were a few pet cats around but it really added to the rustic, homeliness of the property. We did see a few people at breakfast, but it was like noone was around so this was nice for it to feel relatively private.||||Breakfast was basic but adequate and alot was home made which was appreciated. It did appear like if you asked for something else the owners were happy to oblige. There's a little local mart across the road to buy water and basic snacks which was handy.||||Wifi was really poor but you have to remember you are on an island in the middle of the Pacific!||||All in all a really cosy stay and I would return in a heartbeat. Great value for money and service was warm and friendly. Thanks...
Read moreThe “hotel” was booked via Intrepid Australia as their standard tour of Easter Island.||This is not a hotel, but more like a hostel or backpackers with a private bathroom.||It needs a good clean- Dirty- floors, surfaces, kettle & coffee cups||Room safe not working.||No aircon, fan, insect screens or security screens, which means no ventilation and it summer it would be unbearable.||Many repairs needed, eg damaged cupboard, broken hand towel rail, light outside front door.||Little security - cannot leave sliding door open, as cats, dogs or chickens are likely to wander into room. Also personal safety a concern if sliding door left open. ||Reception - rarely staffed.||The included breakfast - usually consisted of stale bread, some cut fruit, a few slices of cheese and meat and juice. Sometimes milk was available for instant coffee.||Cats and chickens everywhere and the noise was constant.||WiFi poor (only at reception) but this is likely applicable to whole island.||There are better options available - wish we had a choice. I also wish Intrepid Australia would stop using this property, or clear state the quality and better still, provide options.||Would...
