Oheho Surf Cafe — Restaurant in Easter Island

If you're looking for a great spot to enjoy some amazing and affordable natural juices and tasty empanadas in Easter Island, look no further than this snack bar! During my four days on the island, I found myself coming back here time and time again for their delicious offerings. One standout for me was the natural mango juice - it was hands down the best I had on the island. It was so fresh and flavorful, and really hit the spot after a long day of exploring. (I am a mango lover.) The strawberry juice is also delicious for strawberry lovers! The empanadas were also fantastic. The tuna and pollo ones were both super tasty, but my personal favorite was the shrimp with pineapple - what an amazing fusion of flavors! And the fries with shrimp were also deliciously fresh and flavorful, especially with the Oheho sauce on the side. Even my friend who wasn't a fan of sauces ended up loving this one. But what really set this place apart for me was the staff. Every single person there was incredibly friendly and welcoming, whether we were just stopping by for a juice or staying for a full meal. They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home. All in all, I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was not very good at all. I ended up going twice and the service was consistently bad. The first night I went, they were clearly busy so I cut them some slack. I only ended up having a beer the first night as they were out of a few items. I was sadly disappointed the next day as well. I had to consistently look for my server as she was not very attentive tbh. I ended up ordering some fries with shrimp which ended up taking about 30 mins to get to me, I do think she forgot the order as I over heard her mention my fries about 20 mins into my wait. I was on a tight timeline the second time as I was needing to catch my flight, the bulk took long the second time as well. I was sadly disappointed with the fries after that wait and even more disappointed with the service. Sorry but I can not recommend this place. Location had rave reviews by a local and it shows why as the food here is absolutely delicious and moderately priced compared to many of the restaurants in the surrounding area. Ceviche of octopus, tuna, and shrimp was fantastic. Also ordered a unique octopus, cheese, and basil empanada and the combination really worked pretty well. The cheese was a little oily after being baked but the flavors were well balanced and extremely delicious. Service was relatively quick and foreign credit cards were readily accepted.
