Pea RestoBar — Restaurant in Easter Island

Our favourite place while in Rapa Nui 🗿 - we visited multiple times! There is no better place to have good drinks, good gnocchi, and watch sea turtles eat as the tide comes in! 🐢

We give Pea a 5 stars overall! ⭐️ The things we loved were the drinks and view. Bonus points for making us feel remembered and welcomed - made all the difference.

El lugar tiene una situación inmejorable , sobre el mar. El problema es cuando quieres saber qué te van a dar de comer. Cuando te dan la carta, los platos son indefinidos, de manera que te pueden poner en el plato cualquier producto, como así fue. Insistimos al bar tender si el pescado de la carta era atún y nos respondia con vaguedades e indeterminación. Cuando le pediamos concerción se puso nervioso y empezó a chillar y hablar incoherencias... Bueno, finalmente nos quedamos. Empezamos pidiendo un vino. Nos ponen otro más barato sin decirnos nada. Al decírselo al camarero nos dijo que no tenían el que nos acababa de ofrecer. Le pedimos que se lo llevara, pues no nos gustaba. Luego, el carpaccio. Lo tenían congelado y le dieron un golpe de microondas para sacarlo a la mesa. Resultado: seguía congelado por algunas zonas y pasado por otras. Pedimos que lo retirara. Segundo, el ceviche. Sin maceración previa, por lo que tenía un sabor a pescado crudo regular. Pero bueno, lo tomamos. Tercero, el atún a la plancha. Un supuesto atún pasado de plancha, seco como la suela de un zapato. Pedilos la cuenta. Nos clavan la botella de vino que se llevaron y ademas con un precio igual a la primera marca que ofrecieron, cuando la calidad era sensiblemente inferior. Por supuesto, no quisimos dar propina y el camarero hizo un amago de decirnos que era obligatoria, cuando en elpropoo ticket la presenta como sugerida. En fin. En este local se piensan que los turistas somos peleles a los que se puede engañar sin parar. Con nosotros se estrellaron y lo peor es el desparpajo con el que nos engañaban una vez tras otra. Desze luego que no parecía que no era ajeno a una costumbre de proceder. Por desgracia, no creo que vuelva a esta isla maravillosa, pero desde luego donde no pienso volver es a este nefasto restaurante. Un gancho del sitio excelente que tiene no...

Extremely slow service despite the restaurant being almost empty. They had no tuna and food was below average.

They charged us $6000 for two coffees (instant coffee) + $6000 for 200 ml of milk. We thought it was a mistake and after reviewing the bill, they changed it to $10000 in total.

Being aware that most products are imported and this obviously results in a surcharge, these prices are arbitrary and abusive.
