The hotel is well-located, offering convenient access to a nearby station and within walking distance of Wangfujing, while being slightly removed from the busier (and more expensive) center of that area. There are also plenty of affordable local dining options close by. Check-in was smooth, requiring a 500 RMB deposit, which was promptly refunded upon check-out.The room was spacious and generally well-maintained, with good cleaning service. The bed was slightly firm, but the room was equipped with daily-provided bathroom amenities, effective heating, complimentary bottled water, comfortable slippers, and robes. It was spring during our stay, and high dust levels in the city affected the air quality in the room, which could be a concern for guests with allergic rhinitis. Additionally, the hotel's policy of not operating air conditioning during spring resulted in occasional discomfort at night, although a fan was provided quickly upon request.Hotel facilities were not extensively used, but we noted they had a good-sized conference and banquet area, which could be useful for business or event travelers. The neighborhood around the hotel felt safe and was pleasant for walking, with easy access to transportation and food options. The hotel itself was well soundproofed, ensuring a quiet stay despite its central location. One notable drawback was the language barrier. Despite being a 4-star hotel, none of the staff we encountered spoke English, which made communication challenging. On several occasions, calls to the reception desk were disconnected without resolution, which felt unprofessional.Lastly, we chose not to avail of the hotel's breakfast due to its relatively high price, but the abundance of nearby, affordable dining options made this a non-issue.Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to business and family travelers looking for a centrally located, safe, and generally comfortable...
Read moreOn entering the building you notice straight away how cold it is, reception staff friendly, our room was fine but it did not have a tub and the corridor was very noisy with children running around at 6am, also music is played from 8am to 10pm in the corridor which after a long day you may not necessarily want to hear when you are trying to drift off to sleep, the bar is in the lobby and again we had to wear our coats and gloves when we decided to have one drink and then had to leave as it was so cold, the same thing in the morning for breakfast had cardigan and scarf on just to try and keep warm it was very unpleasant and i would consider myself not a cold person, breakfast was good but the coffee was not but this was something I noticed every where in China so I stuck to green tea much better and healthier.||Nice size pool in basement, also sauna(which was not working) and a steam room, would not stay here again as it was...
Read moreThis was once a very lovely hotel, but is showing signs of age. service for English speakers is limited. Rooms have no air conditioning, windows open slightly so not great for air circulation. Stains on carpets throughout the suite. rooms are large and will equipped. request for additional wine glasses was a fight but eventually arrived. Staff are friendly and do try to help you but, for an international city, there is definitely a communication gap.|| The beds are horrible, a wooden slab with a thin futon type mattress, extremely uncomfortable.|| compared to other hotels we stayed in china the breakfast was somewhat limited, but to be fair the quality of food was very good.||The suite we booked was very large and comfortable, however the furniture was old...
