Niccolo Chengdu — Hotel in Chengdu

Everything about the hotel is perfect! Staff are super attentive. Room smells great and is very clean and tidy. Every night there’s a small gift from the hotel when they set up the room for sleeping. We even received bye-bye gifts when we were checking out.Special thanks to Steven Li and Dandy, who went the extra miles to help us buy attraction tickets (because we didn’t have local numbers), make reservations at restaurants, give recommendations on where to visit etc, from days before our check-in date. The concierge team and the reservation team of Niccolo is the best in Chengdu. My family is going to Chengdu the following week and it’s our first time being there. I booked three hotels in the city, Niccolo, and the other top two hotels in the same city. ||Before I arrive the hotels,I usually request concierge services before arrival. Niccolo is the best and most professional one. Quality service with politeness, prompt reply with good confirmations. Niccolo concierge does understand my needs and tailor made the services to be provided. Ich war vom 3.9 - 9.9 hier. Mein Checkin war morgens um 8.00 Uhr (Flugzeug landete morgens um 6.00 Uhr in Chengdu). Wider Erwarten bekam ich gleich morgens ein Zimmer, obwohl der Checkin offiziell erst um 3 Uhr nachmittags beginnt. Ich bin davon ausgegangen, dass ich mein Gepäck dort deponieren kann, aber mit dem Zimmer hatte ich zu der Uhrzeit nicht gerechnet, obwohl ich ziemlich müde war.|Ich war in einem sog. Grand Deluxe Zimmer, dass sich vom regulären Deluxe Zimmer nur durch ein höheres Stockwerk unterscheidet. Mein Zimmer war im 20. Stock.|Entgegen der Werbung auf der Hotelwebsite befand sich im Zimmer kein IPad Mini. Das war für mich auch nicht so wichtig, da ich mein eigenes IPad mithatte. Der Internetzugang über WLAN war einfach, kein Passwort oder anderes Gedöns wie in anderen 5 Sterne Häusern üblich. Ein großer Pluspunkt war, dass der Zugang intern über VPN realisiert wurde. Jedenfalls konnte ich Google und Twitter problemlos aufrufen. Das ist sonst in China nicht üblich.||Die Kofferablage war gegenüber vom Schrank, dadurch war der Bereich zwischen Koffer und Schrank etwas schmal. Dadurch ließen sich die Schranktüren nicht komplett öffnen. Im Schrank selbst ist nicht viel Platz, um das Gepäck unterzubringen. Hier fehlte etwas der notwendige Stauraum. Im Schrank ist auch der Zimmersafe untergebracht.||Obwohl das Hotel erst 1 Jahr alt ist, sind mir an verschiedenen Stellen im Zimmer Kratzer an den Möbeln und dem Boden aufgefallen. Bei dem Couchtisch hätte ich einen Teppich erwartet (wie z. B. im Kerry Hotel Beijing). Design vor Funktionalität.||Das Badezimmer war top, 1 Toilette, 1 separate Dusche und eine tiefe Toto Badewanne. Toilettenartikel von Lorenzo Villoresi, sehr angenehmer Duft. Leider nicht käuflich zu erwerben, da exklusiv für Niccolo entworfen. Die Marke kenne ich sonst nur aus höherpreisigen Häusern wie dem Rosewood Beijing. |Auf der Toilette befindet sich ein kleiner Mülleimer (anscheinend für das benutzte Klopapier, da die Abflussrohre etwas unterdimensioniert sind). Dabei dachte ich, daß das nur bei der Olympiade in Rio und den Favelas üblich ist, weit gefehlt. Habs trotzdem runtergespült.||Mein Fazit: insgesamt gut mit leichten...
