O' no. I am staying here for 7 days quarantine. They gave me the family friendly room. This means they put children's stickers on the wall above my bed. The food is repetitive. Breakfast is 3 hot dog buns and a package of instant coffee mix per person. I calculate that by the time I leave here I will have received enough buns to cover all exposed floor space in the room. That's 2 people x 7 days x 9"x9" package of buns equals 8.1 square feet of plain buns. Lunch and dinner is meat with brown sauce. Every. Single. Day. Special tip #1: make sure you have Delivery Panda ready to go on your phone. The walls are thin and the people next door love karaoke, but you can hear people talking in normal tones too. Special tip #2: headphones. The TV in the room is not too much larger than the emergency lighting unit. LOCAL TV ONLY! Special tip #3: have your own computer with Netflix and extra downloaded movies for when the wifi is down. The room is so small my bed blocks the bathroom door. There is no storage space. I can't stand on the floor and open my suitcase at the same time. The water pressure in the shower is very low, often not even able to clear the the shower head. Special tip #4: shower after midnight when everyone is asleep and it works ok. The mattress is 4" thick and hard. Both the pillow and mattress have been coated with clear plastic wrap. Special tip #5: order another set of bed sheets as soon as you arrive. Double up the cover on the bed and pillows so it doesn't feel like you're sleeping on a hard plastic bed. Special tip #6: order more bed sheets and cover the floor so you don't have to stand directly on the industrial carpeted floor since it's hard to tell when it was last cleaned. It's clear the hotel has a good thing going with the quarantine gig. They used to charge to $200 a night before quarantine. Now they charge $800 and don't have to clean the rooms until you leave. To their credit, the hotel did respond to requests for bed sheets, extra towels and they did bring my delivery food items when they arrived. And there is plenty of helpful information taped to my door telling me not to leave.

I hereby warn people of this hotel. They advertised with nice pictures so I booked a room for two nights. When I got to my room I found water dropping from the AC in the ceiling straight onto the area of the bed where a person’s feet would be. I also found that the bathroom and walls were full of dirt and mold. I asked the front desk for a different room. They handed me the keycard to a room that turned out to be a room for handicapped people. The room was slightly cleaner but the bed was very narrow - barely enough to fit a small person. I however had ordered and paid for a queensize bed. Door handle and so on had a good height for wheelchair access - but not for a tall person like me. Back at the front desk I told them that I would not accept that room. They said they may have other rooms but that they needed cleaning (8pm by the way). Since the first two rooms were barely clean I really did not have high hopes for yet another room. I asked the front desk to cancel my booking and refund me my payment. They denied and demanded I talk to my travel agency. I said I would not leave a negative review and move on if they simply canceled. They rejected my proposal and demanded I talk to my agency. My agency got in contact with the hotel side and found that the hotel side refused to refund my money. To summarize. They advertised a and delivered b. When I complained they offered even worse. Not able to deliver anything they refused to refund my money. Is this not fraud? I say it is. Don’t book here. I already told my agency that no responsible agency would offer rooms from this hotel.

In short : The rooms are dirty, infected with mold, with 0 ventilation. SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY!!! Details : We were budget travelling across Asia and Hong Kong was our last destination. Yes, we did book this hotel thinking it’s the wise thing to do (but trust me it was not cheap). The hotel is located in the poor part of Hong Kong (which is still okay as the MRT is 20 steps away). What bugs me even today is, I specially asked the MALE receptionist to give me a room with a good AIR CON as we are coming from Japan and it was very cold there. The room he gave me, I literally started crying when I entered the room. It was all covered in mold, no ventilation, no working AC, dirty bedsheets… I literally could not breathe. I was all set to walk out and book an expensive hotel, blow through my savings just because of the condition of this room. Luckily, I went to the FEMALE receptionist and showed her my booking, demanding that the room we booked is nowhere near the pictures. She was very nice and changed our room. The second room was still small, but with a working AC and some ventilation. But honestly, the price you are paying? It’s better to not stay here.

Upon reaching the hotel, we were surprised that it was situated in somewhat like a wet market whoch has its own pros and cons. There’s no area to stay in the lobby (or waiting area). ||Receptionists speak English which was good since we cannot understand either Cantonese or Mandarin. 😅 ||Our rooms were on the topmost floor; both has 2 single beds; not spacious but it gave me a good sleep during our stay. Wifi was available in the rooms which made me really happy! 😄 There were complimentary bottled waters and orange fruit on the first day. To my surprise, bottled waters were during the arrival date only. Like a welcome drink. On our second day, I called the front desk and asking for water and she said complimentary water is during the first day only. So we bought in the conveniece store adjacent to the hotel. For the bathroom, it was clean but too small. They have complimentary liquid soap. Complimentary toothbrush was during the first day also. ||I was just a bit disappointed of the service of some staff. It is a HOTEL and roughly has more than 60 rooms. Definetely, other than the receptionist there were still some staff from the back office. I worked in a hotel so I know how it works. I wonder why there is no one who could assist us when we asked the receptionist to have our items (delivery from the souvenir shop) be delivered in the room. So tired and yet we still need to go down to get it. I know we could’ve got it when we arrived but somehow forget about it. This could’ve been part of their customer service experience to delight guests especially knowing that we came from tours so it was automatic we were tired. ||BUT, big big thanks to Jayson, a receptionist, who exceeded my customer service expectation. He speaks English very well. 😊 We asked him several times on how to go to the Night Market, what mode of transportation to take in. The problem was the taxi drivers we met cannot understand English which took quite a long time for us to get a ride. We went back to Jayson and asked if he could write the Night Market in their language for us to just present the piece of paper to the taxi driver for them to understand us. He did not just write it. He even assisted us in getting a taxi. Such a nice gesture! 😊 He did it even without us asking for it. One more thing, he even allowed us to stay quite longer beyond the check out time because our pick up time was after 12pm. ||Aside from Jayson, I would like to mention the lady housekeepers who consistently gave greetings everytime we see each other in...
