Garden Inn — Hotel in Lijiang City

First late me say that this place looks way better in the pictures than on reality, accept of the rooms whitch are big, modern and pretty. Even so, they are a bit dirty. We recieved a room with a toilet that was stink from urin like a public urinary, and I had to clean it myself so it will stop.||As for the laundry- we hung our laundry outside the room on the balcony, and people were keep moving it because it 'botherd their view'. Needless to say that we had no other choice were to put it. The inn's host had no solution for us, and seemed like he does not care. Moreover, the laundry smelled almost the same before and after it came out of the washing machine.||When we wanted coffee and breakfast they didnt have any even though its on their menu, cause their coffee machine has broke and they didnt have eggs and toasts. ||If you're interested to see the rooftop you can only do it with the pictures on the website cause we could not find it till now.||Overall a bit disappointing, especially because of the low hygiene. The place have only half of the services they offer on the website, and they have no willing to help or compensate for that. Must say, though, that the host of the place speaks a very good english and seem to be nice. Also the loction...

Garden Inn is run by Joyce, Wen Jun, a young mother, and a granny. All four of them are super nice and helpful. I had great recommendations on where to eat, and stayed up hanging out and talking to them in the evenings. I stayed in a 6 bunk room, the beds were spacious and had curtains for privacy. The rooms, as well as showers, were warm in the evenings which was great because the weather was getting cold in Li Jiang. The shower areas and bathrooms were clean. Free hot drinking water is provided, and there is also one computer in the area which can be use. There is a good restaurant right at the bottom of the hill for breakfast, and takes about 20mins from the long distance bus station with public transport (need to change bus twice). Location is right outside the old city which is very convenient, and they can also help arrange tours to Jade Dragon Mountain and to Tiger...

Great location, just in front of Old Town, tasty breakfast, loved the and brown sugared ginger tea, the beds are very warm and comfy with your own power outlet, restrooms are clean, they have laundry, only you have to hang your own clothes (this is a standard in china hostels) the last day they made a mistake and charged me twice the night. Even i was already gone on my Tiger Leaping Gorge tour, they were so honest that they arranged the refund with my tour driver.
