i had a great experienced staying here, the duty staff patiently assisted the taxi driver to the hotel, once we arrived, a thin guy with spectacular came out and helped to carry our suitcases, checked in only takes about 15mins for us (7paxs), waiting area is styled, comfortable and fragrant, my children were very excited with their self-serve coffee machine supplied high quality aromatic coffee beans. Room is very clean and spacious, thumb up their amenities and mattress is very comfortable that you can sleep in seconds. The buffet breakfast is included in the room rate and it was impressive! i received 3 called in the morning from my parent, my hubby & my children, they cant wait to recommend the delicious food they picked for me, from drinks to foods to deserts, food are never disappointed me and my favorite choice is the vegetables soup. What a blessed, i feel safe to use the laundry appliances, the condition are totally 99% like new, on-site laundry self-service base is FOC for all the hotel guest. The hotel staffs will never missed to greet and always standby to help for taxi booking(DiDi) or subway line(700m from hotel) and even mobile food ordering(food will delivered by hotel robot"). Special highlight the staffs name Mr Simon & Ms Amber, both are just super helpful and nice. This is the only hotel i will come back for my next Shanghai journey. Thank for serving us like a VIP guest, Good job...
Read moreI am a diamond IHG member and stayed at Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Jing'an Temple on March 1, and had the worst IHG stay I've ever had. My AC did not work and it was an unusually hot March day, but after getting to the hotel late, I decided to just stick it out. After falling asleep, I am waken up at 3:30am by constant phone calls. I hang up the phone and it continues to ring. I answer but hear nothing. I get 5 calls in a row. Half asleep and startled, I go to open the door and an alarm starts going off. I close the door and it turns off. When I open the door again, the alarm starts blasting. I call the front desk, who could not understand english and they come upstairs to my room. They find a bag on the ground next to my door and tell me if has my room number on it but say they can not open it. I'm very frustrated and confused and then a guest next door comes outside and says he ordered food. The guest next door and his companion continue to be very loud, yelling and banging on the walls. Extremely stressful experience after a long day of travel. After getting about 2 hours of sleep all night I explained this to the front desk and they said they'd discuss with the manager. They later contacted me and said they can give me 1000points (equivalent to $5) for the troubles which seemed like a joke(Some places give this as welcome points) I would not recommend staying...
Read moreHighly Recommend Holiday Inn Jing’an Temple Shanghai Stayed from 5-11th Jan 2025 I’d like to give a special mention to Amber, a staff member at Holiday Inn Jing’an Temple Shanghai, who went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. She was incredibly helpful with navigating Chinese apps (so different from the usual Google apps), booking attractions, providing directions, and answering general inquiries. Her exceptional service truly made our trip much easier and more enjoyable!
The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to several key attractions such as The Bund, Jing’an Temple, People’s Square, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and luxurious shopping malls. Public transport is also easily accessible, making it a strategic base for exploring Shanghai.
Our family room was very spacious, even with three large suitcases and four backpacks—we still had plenty of room to move around comfortably. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety compared to many other hotels in China.
Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we highly recommend Holiday Inn Jing’an Temple Shanghai for anyone...
