Meta Tree Hotel Shanghai People's Square — Hotel in Shanghai

Avoid this hotel at all costs. We booked as we thought it had high ratings which turns out they ask guests to leave and give a free gift.

They have a cockroach problem and we found one on our bed. We also flagged the mosquito problem as we were bitten during the night to which they put a plug in our room.

The bedding had not been changed until day 5 of our stay until we packed our bags and left.

There was a lot of noise in the hallways from other guests during late hours of the night. The location is right outside a dumpster and the smell of rancid.

The service was good as breakfast was served to the room at a fix time. Choice of western or local cuisine. The rooms were cleaned up very well and all amenities were replaced. Liquid shampoo was a bit strong for dyed hair. Quiet location so can sleep in peace at night.
