During my stay at the hotel in Shanghai, I was impressed by its central location, which was within easy reach of the Bund and other major attractions in the city. The hotel itself was beautifully modern, with a stylish and chic decor that instantly caught my eye. Furthermore, I was pleased to find that the hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a great range of amenities and facilities that met all of my needs. One of the highlights of the hotel was its proximity to a range of shops, restaurants, and public transport options, including the U2 station. However, one minor issue I encountered was the limited English language skills of some of the staff members, which made communicating my needs occasionally difficult. The room itself was spacious and expertly appointed, with virtually everything I needed for a comfortable stay included. Finally, I couldn't help but be impressed by the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet, which included a range of fresh and regional delicacies that truly impressed me. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, well-appointed accommodation option in Shanghai.

I was apprehensive with my upcoming stay after reading the reviews both on Agoda and Google. However, all of them were unfounded. All the staff I met were super helpful and polite. The few concierge I met throughout my 4 nights stay were able to give me very good recommendations of places fo eat and how to get from Point A to Point B even though I used to live and work in SH for many years. I had arranged for 2 parcels to be sent to me via courier. Although they arrived prior to my arrival. The team was able to retrieve them and send to my room accurately. We added a roll-away bed and everything was done quickly and politely upon our check in. Water pressure was perfect throughout our stay and housekeeping was very polite too. Of course, the location was the main draw since we were able to go everywhere either by foot or MRT when getting a cab was too difficult due to the Golden Week. And being so near to my favourite JingAn Park was the icing to the cake as I love to just sit there and watch the elderly folks enjoy their waltzing.

Absolutely Disgusting and Unacceptable for a "Five-Star" Hotel! The Swissôtel Grand Shanghai is a complete joke and an insult to the term "five-star." This place was so old and dirty. Everything was on the verge of breaking. Our air conditioning was faulty for the first THREE DAYS of our stay. Not only that, but it was LEAKING brown water all over the place, damaging our shoes in the process. And when did they decide to fix it? At 1:00 AM! Seriously? Who wants their sleep disrupted by maintenance in the dead of night because of a problem that should have been fixed before we even checked in? To top it all off, the management clearly does not care one bit. There was NO APOLOGY until we brought it to their attention. This is not service; it's a disgrace. Save your money and stay far away from this glorified dump.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Swissôtel Grand Shanghai – Perfect for Families! We recently stayed at Swissôtel Shanghai as a family of three – my partner, myself, and our 1.5-year-old baby – and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations in every way imaginable. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.Traveling with a toddler can be challenging, but the team at Swissôtel went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, relaxed, and well taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel is immaculately maintained, with spacious, modern rooms that are both stylish and practical – exactly what you need when traveling with a young child. What truly set our stay apart, however, was the incredible service. Two individuals deserve special recognition: Jason Zheng and Tim Tang. These gentlemen were absolute stars. Jason welcomed us with genuine warmth and checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and sincere hospitality made us feel like VIPs. Tim, equally outstanding, went above and beyond to make our stay feel at home. It’s rare to encounter such a high level of service, where you feel like staff members genuinely care about your experience and your family’s well-being. Their kindness and professionalism truly made our trip unforgettable. The location of this hotel is 5 Stars. We initially booked Swissôtel Shanghai only for 1 night but ended up extended our stay and now leaving with full hearts and fond memories. If you’re traveling with a young family and looking for a hotel that combines comfort, location, and outstanding service, look no further. Huge thanks again to Jason Zheng and Tim Tang – you both made our stay something we’ll always treasure. We can’t...
