Great location--a short 2 minute walk to SML Center, a large 5 story mall with a touristy shopping area right behind the mall. ||||Maid service was helpful (communicated with gestures) and friendly. Hotel was in OK condition--could use some updating, but it's okay for the price. Hot shower, clean sheets, king bed, good view. ||||Front desk service wasn't all that helpful in getting around as most didn't speak English, but that wasn't an expectation. Wifi was good when it worked, but was in and out a lot of the time.||||Something to be aware of: CONSTRUCTION!!!!!! Loud loud loud banging due to this construction. It mostly stopped at night (from maybe 5/6 pm-7 am), but still very annoying and loud during the day. Business folks beware if you plan to work at the hotel during the day!! There is a starbucks across the street, but you need a Chinese phone number to connect. Other cafes around to connect to wifi at, though--just might need to hunt for them. ||||Overall I'd stay here again, but for no longer than a...

A big shopping mall cross the street also, great food court down stair. More restaurants around. There are also nice small shops for souvenirs. 5 minutes walking to TianZiFan, a famous old-fashion shanghai attraction. ||||Hotel is clean and nice, but aged. It needs some renovations. ||||Staff was really helpful. We arrived at 9:30PM. There was no doorman or any one help on my luggages. There were only one person at front desk. And one day we found the cleaning lady did not leave any clean towel for us. And we had to ask toilet paper when it ran out, there was no extra.||||Our price included breakfast buffet, not bad. ||||Over all for the price in the center of Shanghai is...
