If you visit this hotel as the first and only hotel you are visiting in Macau, you'd probably like it but if you visit other hotels anytime during your stay you will see that this hotel is a 3.5 star or 4 star if you're pushing it.The employees are not very welcoming or hospitable. The concierge sees you struggling with your many bags, but don't think of helping you. The one lady knocked and immediately walked into our room without giving us the chance to respond, we could have been naked, and it's always good to wait a few minutes. The receptionist created a hostile environment by revealing that they are things that we would have to pay for in our room should we use. We were very uncomfortable, and we did not know if we would be charged for using the robes and slippers. He mentioned being charged for water, I thought I would be charged for the water bill. What I can say is that they all need training on being hospitable, it's fortunate that I was there for one night which we tried our best to spend the whole day and most of the night outside.A simple thing like smiling when welcoming your guests and welcoming them to your hotel would be a good start, don't trick your guests into payig more than what they paid, having things in the room that they would have to pay for, we don't mind ordering extra things from the room, don't put them there. It's good practice to inform your guests beforehand that they would be expected to pay a deposit and that if they pay by card, it will take a month to be returned to you.I was at Galaxy Hotel Macau for a week, and Roosevelt should just visit them and see the service a 5-star hotel should give.RoomsThe room was very tiny but had a beautiful view. The TV remote was malfunctioning, which was a big letdown. The room was very techy, which was different, I like that.Food and DrinksThe hotel offered a welcome drink and food vouchers. It's unfortunate that we do not redeem vouchers. It would be best if they brought it to the room. If I'm going to the restaurant, my pride won't allow me to give them a voucher, I will take out my card and pay, I don't like feeling cheap. The hotel offered to 2 canned drinks in the fridge and 4 bottles of water. There was a beautiful restaurant on level 3 and food stalls on the ground floor.Noteworthy details The hotel rooms do not have the "clean the room" tag for housekeeping. which could be problematic. especially since housekeeping just walked into my room without being allowed entrance. The view was breathtaking, and the seat by the window...
