Kafka — Restaurant in Taipa

Glad we found it but may not come again. Nice deco, pretty-looking dessert and friendly staff. However coffee is mediocre. Dessert is hit and miss. The waltz for raspberry was nice but raw chocolate tastes like dirt. Price is similar to that of a decent cafe in Hong Kong but quality is worse. Maybe there aren’t many choices in Macau and this is already one of the better ones. Agree with some of the reviewers, it’s not too easy to find as street number is not continuous. Drinks and cakes are both impeccable, every fine details, taste and texture combinations, flavoring and layers are all well thought and executed. Too good to be true.

Owners studied their crafts from France and Japan as far as I know. They have expert temperature control of milk so their coffees are perfection and the foam layer is heavenly. Cakes are REALLY good and camera friendly. Recommend "Gloomy Sunday" as a must-try.
