Hotel was renewed surprisingly hotel now provided shampoo, conditioner, body gel, body lotion!!! Even provide shuttle bus to the airport, ferry terminal, port etc. room renewal with a huge tv, king size bed which can accommodate up to 3 adults!! Tile in the bath also new. Check in staff asking question and offered hotel provide shuttle bus so he suggested me to cancel my taxi booking to save money. Other side, guests must paid 500 HKG dollars for room deposit even I have paid for the room but also understand the policy. During check out 16/6/2025 the cashier lady wasn’t seems present or try to follow up with housekeeping,. She saids comeback after 5 mins. When other guest gone I have followed up with her she try to call & keep walking at the area. The worst part was once she defined my money she just handled to me like money has no value and not even say even here is your deposit or even says thank you!! At first I want to rate hotel 9 out of 10 but with this lady attitude I would give 7/10. Please improve exp in the morning guest should leave with present smile not staff attitude. Don’t judge people by their appearance , we have long travel to go we not gonna wear brand name to attack thief’s or to impress staff. Anyway I would recommend this hotel for people who come here even short or long period. It’s good value for money. And convenient. Near by have many local restaurants or Mcsonalds, supermarket. Easy catch bus 25B, 26A to Taipa or tourist spots. I decide to stay this hotel cause my last night in Macau. I have lives here for almost 2 years to work. And will definitely back to this hotel if I’m back or traveling to Macau. And Hopefully the cashier lady will put smile on the...
Read moreI stayed at the Grand View Hotel for a week during my maiden trip to Macau. For starters, the hotel staff (especially the doormen and bellboys) were exceptionally friendly and smartly dressed. The reception staff were equally warm and did their best to communicate in English. I found it quite helpful that the English-speaking receptionists wore a Union Jack badge for easy identification by tourists who do not speak Cantonese or Mandarin. ||The hotel was full of surprises throughout. I reckon it is due to their investment in soundproofing. Lol! For instance, I discovered the casino 4 days into my stay. There, you can gamble, enjoy people watching or grab a quick bite. Their dumplings were quite nice. I regret that I never got to explore the pool and gym while I patronized the hotel, though. That said, however, being on the 16th floor during my stay afforded me an unrivalled view of the Coitai Strip which is breathtaking at night; as well as of the magnificent Jockey Club in the hotel's backyard. ||The hotel could do with a better variety at the breakfast buffet, which was rather average. Also, be sure to ask for a non smoking room, as smoking rooms tend to smell rather... smoky. :) Finally, do not touch the mini bar or the fancy bar downstairs! Instead, run across the road to 7 Eleven and buy yourself the same drinks on offer in the mini bar at a fraction of the price. ||Great value for...
