This review is for family travelers!!! Bogota may not be the top of list for family travelers but we decided to come here for a family holiday for new years 2024 (2kids 8/10 yrs). Why? Just to visit south america and home of Gabriel García Márquez ☺️ The grand hyatt bogota is good in many ways : the rooms are good, the SPA/swimming pool are awesome, it’s close to the airport (12 mins), and the services are good. The only potential downside is the location, it’s a bit far to all the restaurants/places we want to go: the Zona G, la candelaria, the usaquen, etc. We always have to take a uber to any of those places and it’s usually a 15-25 min drive away. It’s not super inconvenient and okay for us. We made sure to go out in off hours so haven’t stuck in traffic. It also means we didn’t go out at night and mostly stayed in hotel in the evenings. That’s when the Spa and swimming pool proved its value. There are some restaurants nearby, a crepe & waffles is just 8 mins walk away and just a few minutes there are good fried chicken place and the first floor bakery has very good pastries. So that made the stay inside hotel totally ok for us. Hotels inside the Zona G should be more convenient for walking to restaurants and places. But they won’t have the SPA /swimming pool that we had spent a lot of time to relax during this laid back family holiday. Overall it was the right choice for our purpose. Highly recommended this hotel if you have older kids who will be okay for multiple daily car rides to places. Things to improve at the hotel: the breakfast could be better; some basic breakfast items like beacon and good bread are missing. The hot food section is really not good. You can order omelette waffles and pancakes but the waiters didn’t tell us and we had to figure it out from looking at others table. The breakfast could also have more variety since we stayed six nights and it gets boring if breakfasts are all the same things.

Exceptional Stay at the Grand Hyatt Bogotá. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I had the pleasure of enjoying an outstanding stay at the Grand Hyatt Bogotá, made even better by the use of a Suite Upgrade certificate. The suite itself was nothing short of amazing, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered panoramic views of the city skyline and the mountains in the distance. From the moment we arrived, the experience was elevated by the wonderful service, starting with the private check-in on the 13th floor inside the Grand Club Lounge. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit flawless. The lounge was a highlight, offering access to a well-curated selection of breakfast items, midday snacks, and an evening happy hour that featured both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, an impressive array of foods, and delicious desserts. We also had the option of breakfast in the Capitalino Restaurant, where the buffet-style service included made-to-order omelets, French toast, pancakes, and more—perfect for starting the day on a high note. Our kids had a separate room, and we felt completely supported by the staff, who were always available and eager to ensure our family’s comfort and enjoyment. Their thoughtful approach helped us feel like valued guests. Though the hotel is situated some distance from the downtown/Centro Histórico, we found this to be an advantage. The surrounding area is upscale, clean, and felt very safe, with two large shopping malls nearby. In contrast, downtown appeared much less inviting, even during daytime hours, which affirmed our appreciation for the hotel’s location. This is a well managed five-star property with world-class amenities, exquisite service, and an elevated experience that reflects the best of the Hyatt brand. Whether for business or leisure, I’d recommend the Grand Hyatt Bogotá without hesitation.

Always the best when staying at a Grand Hyatt regardless where ever it is in the world. We have stayed at this Hyatt several times. It's one of the nicest hotels in Bogota. We have club access. Which has a good breakfast some snacks and cocktails. Recently we asked for some rum on the rocks. And when you think of rum most people think of Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Dominican republic, Puerto Rico. We asked our server what country the rum was from they said Mexico. We were in shock and disbelief. Colombia makes some fine quality rums. Couldn't understand why they were serving rum from Mexico. Either the club manager hates Colombia or was bribed by the Mexicans. We refused the rum and went to the lobby bar to get some real Colombian rum. If you are ever at this club demand Colombian rum. This club should be embarrassed for offering and serving Mexican rum. While it maybe good rum we would have had more respect for this club even if they had low quality rum from Colombia than rum from Mexico. And if we asked where the Aguardiente was from and they said China we wouldn't be surprised after they informed us the rum was from Mexico. We hope they do better and at least serve Colombian rum even if low quality before serving Mexican rum in Colombia. Everything else about this hotel is excellent. Just disappointed the club manager chose to serve Mexican rum in Colombia.

The best pool and hydrotherapy jacuzzi in Bogota. But they limit you to 2 hours per day. You have to schedule in advance and many times it is full so you are paying for a room and not able to use the pool. Front desk female supervisor struck a nerve with me in the past and many others, just plain rude and arrogant. But the front desk staffs are friendly and helpful but sometimes struggle a bit with room keys requiring reprogramming. The breakfast here is absolutely amazing with a variety of selections, I especially enjoy the hot Colombian food here. The club lounge is amazing with some of the best waiters and waitresses, extremely attentive. If you are going to Ushin, don’t use the main 4 elevators it won’t go to 14; use the 2 side elevators next to the soap shop. I have stayed here 100 nights and there’s countless times people are trying to get to 14 in the wrong elevators. The rooms are absolutely beautiful here the tub is so nice (bring your own epsom salt!) the shower here with excellent water pressure. Always an amazing night of sleep here. The cleaning ladies are amazing. Love the housekeeping staffs here. This hotel provides plenty of drinking water, you can refill your bottle at the pool, gym, and also a water machine directly across capitalino restaurant. There are plenty of food options nearby, at the Gran Estación Mall walking distance you will find 3 excellent restaurants, Central Cevicheria(seafood), Di Lucca(Italian), and Cosette(French) inside the mall there is a food court on the top floor. ATM at the hotel limits you to 400,000. Go to Scotiabank ATM nearby and you can take out 4,500,000 per day. Beware of your belongings at the hydrotherapy/jacuzzi area, I had a personal item stolen, apparently there are no security cameras there. The hotel security weren’t helpful in finding my lost item, but after I contacted the main Hyatt corporate phone line they promptly replaced my stolen item. If you are not happy with the local customer service here for whatever reason, contact the corporate office and they will make it right. Lastly, there is some kind of an e-mail problem here. The hotel will send me an email to my gmail and I never receive them, even if I change to a different email address. I don’t know how many email communications I have missed because of this. It’s just this Hyatt, all the other Hyatt hotels I can receive their email just fine. This is a beautiful hotel but compared to other Hyatt in the region there’s just a few odd quirks here. JW Marriott is a great alternative to this hotel with a better location and excellent 24 hour sit down restaurant in the lobby. Sofitel and Four Seasons on Calle 85 are the 2 best luxury hotels with the best location in Bogota. These are my Top 4 favorite...

Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Bogota. We always try to stay here when we visit Colombia. Conveniently located in the geographic center of the city (not historical city center). Always great customer service and very clean facilities. Also the is a large mall only a couple minutes walking with huge variety of stores and restaurants - very convenient to go shopping or dining. The architecture of the hotel is very neat - it is like an oval with an open space in the middle, so you can see all levels/floors of the hotel with a lovely green area at the bottom. Lobby is very spacious with high ceilings and beautifully designed, has several cozy seating areas and tables where you can work with comfort or enjoy a conversation or a drink. Rooms are fabulous, comfortable and very bright with huge floor to ceiling windows from where you can see gorgeous view of the mountains on a clear day. Beds are very nice, and pillows and blankets are soft like clouds. Good tea and coffee varieties available in every room. Wonderful variety of food at the breakfast buffet- some of the fruits I have never tried before or even heard of, so I always try to make sure to taste everything. Also you can order a la carte items like omelets, poached eggs, etc. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to visit the spa, which probably takes the whole floor of the hotel. There is an awesome olympic size pool, jacuzzi and hydromassage area if you want to soak in the water or wet and dry sauna. Massages and haircuts are available by appointment as well. Gym is very spacious and has a lot of machines, which is very nice when it is busy, so you don’t have to wait for your turn, but just use another one. There is even a small yoga room in the end of the gym where you can do stretches and get some privacy while working out. The executive lounge at the hotel is super nice. Great place if you need to work or meet up a client or something. Very quite and comfortable. Drinks and refreshments are available all day long. Breakfast in the morning is very good, but we prefer going to the buffet. Happy Hour is wonderful at the lounge with great drinks and food. Amazing variety and quality of food. At the top floor there is a great Japanese restaurant. We went there and were very satisfied with the food, service and design of the restaurant. There is even a small cute balcony with an amazing view of the city, where you can take lovely pictures. I just want to say thank you to the Grand Hyatt team in Bogota, because they are doing a fantastic job to keep us satisfied and happy. They make our stay memorable and that is why we always want to come back to...

I visited the Grand Hyatt Bogotá during my recent visit to Colombia. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, and it only got better from there.

The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated right in the heart of Bogotá. It offers easy access to major attractions, shopping centers, and business districts, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. I found it incredibly convenient to explore the city and return to the comfort of the hotel without any hassle.

The moment I entered my room, I was blown away by the elegant and modern design. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the room exuded a sense of luxury and sophistication. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploration. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfection. Whether it was the front desk, concierge, or housekeeping, everyone was dedicated to making guests feel welcome and valued.

The dining options at the Grand Hyatt Bogotá are a culinary delight. The breakfast buffet offered a wide array of delicious choices, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The restaurants on-site served exquisite dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying the local Colombian cuisine; it was a gastronomic journey I won't soon forget.

The hotel facilities were excellent. The fitness center was well-equipped and maintained, allowing me to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The spa was a sanctuary of relaxation, offering a range of rejuvenating treatments to indulge in. Additionally, the rooftop pool provided breathtaking views of the city and was the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.

Overall, my experience at the Grand Hyatt Bogotá was exceptional, exceeding my expectations in every way. It is evident that the hotel strives for excellence in every aspect of its operations. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the entire team for making my stay memorable and for their unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.

If you're looking for a luxurious oasis in Bogotá, look no further than the Grand Hyatt. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. You won't be...
