Total Disappointment: Outrageous Price for a Terrible Service My experience at this hotel's spa was a complete disappointment. My friend and I booked the most complete package, expecting a moment of relaxation and wellness, but what we received was a mediocre service that in no way justifies the price of $240 per person (approximately 960,000 Colombian pesos). Considering the cost of living in Colombia is much lower than in the U.S. or Europe, this price is excessive, especially given the poor quality of the service.

The only positive aspect of this spa is its beautiful facilities—but even that had unacceptable flaws. The massage cabin where we showered had no hot water, and when we mentioned it, the therapists simply suggested letting the water run until it became “a little warm.” This was a complete waste of time, as they continued to deduct time from our service while we waited for the water to heat up—which never happened. Not to mention, this practice results in a shameful waste of water, something completely unacceptable for a spa that claims to be high-end.

From the beginning, the service was disappointing. During the massage, the therapist abruptly switched from a body massage to what was supposed to be a facial, applying some oil to my face and barely touching my skin without any explanation. When I asked about the facial that was supposed to be included, and that I was supposed to choose from a detailed menu, I was told that they had decided for me because I supposedly had “sensitive skin,” while my friend was also told she had “rosacea.” The most ridiculous part? They determined this in a dark spa cabin, without any professional evaluation.

When we complained to management, they promised to contact us and correct the issue, but they never did. My friend had to leave the country before she could receive the service, and they flat-out refused to issue a refund. To make things worse, when we tried to reach them, they stopped responding to calls and emails, despite being extremely responsive before we paid.

Now, they are only offering us a much more limited service compared to what we originally purchased, without any compensation or apologies. They insist that they are the “experts” and that they decide what treatments to apply, completely disregarding what customers actually want and paid for. They also refuse to answer any questions about the products they use, and the package that was supposed to be the "most complete" barely included anything.

The most outrageous part? This spa charges more than high-end spas in the U.S. or Europe, yet their service doesn’t even come close to that standard. In Colombia, this amount of money can get you a truly luxurious spa experience, but here, I just feel scammed. Instead of a relaxing experience, I left with a headache and complete frustration.
