Poor service for expensive restaurant. I went to Ushin last 6th Dec 2023 to celebrate my sister in law birthday. When I got to the restaurant at 8pm, the receptionist couldn't find my booking, but after 15mins they gave us a table for 4 people. I request to remember it was my sister in law birthday, the host told me that he will inform the waitress. When I got to the table it took around 30 mins to get the drinks ordered, then it took another 30mins to order food, I asked the waitress to gave me the most quick entrance meal as I was very hungry. This first entrance got to the table around 9:30pm, 1 hour and half after we got to the restaurant, the rest of the food start to arrive after 9:45pm in batches. After we finished and wait for the waitress for another half an hour, the waitress took the plates and asked me if we want the bill, which I said yes. Before he came with the bill, I went to talk with him about the request for the birthday surprise, he said he didn't know anything about it. After another 20 mins he got the bill and some small cake with a candle, we finished the whole experience after 11pm. Personally for the type of place I will expect a quick service with great attention on detail and for the waitress to check all the time if we are OK, which I didn't get. Upon arrival, there was no staff in sight to greet or assist us, leaving us awkwardly waiting at the entrance of what’s supposed to be a premium dining establishment. When someone finally did appear, she approached with a visible scowl and an unwelcoming attitude, instructing us to wait despite the restaurant being visibly empty.
Eventually, she led us to a table I found wholly unsatisfactory. When I requested a different one, she flatly refused, claiming the rest were “reserved.” That turned out to be completely false—not a single one of those tables was occupied the entire time we were there. This wasn’t just poor service; it felt intentionally dismissive.
The quality of service at this restaurant has plummeted alarmingly, and it reflects a serious failure on Hyatt’s part to properly train or even screen its staff. Indifference, rudeness, and a complete lack of basic hospitality seem to be the new norm here.
Frankly, I’m appalled. I left not only dissatisfied but disturbed, wondering whether this cold and dismissive treatment was targeted—was it because I am differently abled? If so, that takes this from bad service to outright discrimination.

Read moreIt is unbelievable the service that the manager Luis give it to me regarding a request for a wedding on the 2nd of February for 20 pax. I choose the hotel first because my fiancé is Japanese and second because it’s supposed to be the best Japanese restaurant and best hotel in Bogota. I contacted the hotel on Monday 21st of December requesting a quote for the event l, I was told that the only person who can handle this kind of events is Luis (the manager). He did not contact me at all, I have to called multiple times to the restaurant and finally after 1 week the manager was able to talk to me on the phone to say in 3 minutes that they can not host 20 people ( which is understandable due to the pandemic). He offered me a terrace which is triple of the price as if we do the event in another space. I asked him to send me a quote which I never get, and the only answer that I got is a number that he made in his head which was 7 to 8 million pesos whiteout sending an email with the quote and prices.
I can’t believe this is a super fancy restaurant and this kind of things happen to customers. There is a lot of nice hotels and restaurants in Bogota. Please stay away from this one. What I shame you can not give...
