HOTEL BOUTIQUE PALACETE — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

This hotel was one of the worst ones I have ever been to. We were a large group but they couldn’t accommodate to us. We were treated very differently from other guests and they didn’t address us with respect as other guests. One time we were accused of breaking something but we had nothing to do with it. The bakery next door, isnt that great also, the lady attending me got confused with my order and gave me an attitude when I asked for the correct order. Another thing is the food. We were promised a buffet breakfast, but it was served by the staff and couldn’t repeat the drinks. The breakfast was always the same. Some fruit, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs (you couldn’t have both), soup, 1 arepa, 1 bread. The rooms were decent, it was nicely decorated and it included tv, hairdryer, shampoo and soap. The sound proofing in the rooms were horrible. You could hear everything outside even with the door closed. The temperature in the room is always cold. They don’t have any temperature regulator. If we open the windows, we don’t die of asphyxiation but we can hear everything and smell the cars outside. The beds were always dirty. They didn’t clean the sheets everyday, it always smelled like dust. Some of my companions started having rashes after sleeping on the beds. The hairdryer didn’t even work half of the time and it started smoking halfway through drying. They didn’t swept or mop. The towels we were given didn't get changed the whole time we were there. One time we found a blond hair on the floor, we are all brunette/dark haired. The housekeepers also ate some of the unopened cookies I had in the room. I bought dinner on time there, it didn’t taste good at all. The ribs were covered in sauce but were still dry. And the mashed potatoes tasted like play dough. I would not recommend this hotel...

I stayed for 03 nights, the location is average, it is in the middle of the airport and the main plaza, it is near from the gran estacion mall, the streets seems lonely.||My room was 802, it was comfortable, it has a king bed, a flat screen TV , safety deposit box and a minibar.||The bathroom has a shower with high pressure of water, hair dryer and amenities like shampoo,body lotion, mouthwash, needle and thread.||The food at the restaurant is good, I tried baby beef with french fries, hamburger and sandwich with jam and cheese for dinner.||The breakfast is a buffet, it has juices, breads (croissant , petit breads, toast), ham, scramble eggs, butter. jam and a lot of fruits (melon, papaya , pineapple, kiwi, stawberry).||The lobby and the restaurant are on the fifth floor.||Cons: The pillows arent flat. So, we went to this hotel as a group. When we arrived, everything was fine, until a day later, they told us the breakfast was a buffet, but we couldn’t even get a second plate. Another thing, the bed sheets were always dirty, they didn’t even change them. The receptionist always complained about us being too loud, but in reality, it wasn’t us. It was another group of people. They got a room for meetings, and they couldn’t let us use it for our own business, even though we paid for it. Something we notice too, was the treatment toward us.
