El Corral Gourmet — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Please be warned! This is a place just tried to fool and take advantage of foreigners who happened not to speak Spanish. Do please be aware the waiters at this restaurant tend to arbitrarily cook up a much higher bill and the whole restaurant gangs up on you to convince it is the right bill. In my case, I ordered a $32,900 peso Todo Terreno burger, which includes a small fries or onion rings. For that, I asked to have the rings instead. Then I also ordered a half liter club Colombia on tab for $7,900 peso. Guess what happened at check time? The waiter showed me a bill of $37,000 burger + $7,900 peso + 16% IVA = $52,084 pesos. When pointing out the error that the burger is on menu $32,900, not $37,000, he cooked up a new check: $32,900 + $7,900 (beer) + $9,200 for a big standalone onion ring starter item. As an Asian American, you would have to be pity on the EL Corral Gourmet waiters' hungry appetite for stealing foreigner's money, fortunately, not much us $$ and just not worthy to ruin your Sunday evening, Lol!! Did though pay one $1 usd for the pretty waitress as a tip to stay true to appreciate...

Edited review after my second and third visit. After having visited the regular El corral I feel that El corral gourmet isn't worth the money. I have been to a regular El corral at least a dozen times in the past year and I do not find any difference between the two places that really justify the high prices at the Gourmet. In fact the last time I went there, the onion rings were dripping oil and soggy! Of course the gourmet restaurant has more options in terms of alcohol and they offer table services, but it's the same old burger!
