We arrived at 3:45 pm (Alejandro, the host, had been told we would check in at 3 pm). The cleaning lady was just starting to clean the house and didn’t finish until 5 pm.

*We asked Alejandro for a late checkout (1 pm), and he initially said we had to pay $42 (zero flexibility). After I mentioned leaving a bad review, he finally agreed.

*Two days later, the Wi-Fi stopped working. They sent a technician who couldn’t fix it, and we wasted our entire morning waiting. Alejandro was very slow to respond.

*I asked him to move us to another property, and he sent us to a completely inferior place, nowhere near what we paid for: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1202160644775008336

*To top it off, there was no hot water, and Alejandro didn’t even bother to reply this time.

*The elevator also stopped working out of nowhere.

POOR, POOR EXPERIENCE with Alejandro and Wynwood! This is clearly a company that doesn’t care about guest needs or...

Have stayed at a couple Wynwood places now so I can finally give some feedback. Shower pressure was weak across the board. The founder Juan encourages you to book off the platform but when you do, he gives you a rate that is more than what their price on Airbnb displays, which makes no sense because what then is the incentive to go off-platform? Then you ask why it's higher and then he tries to come down to match the price on Airbnb because he didn't think you'd check. I've now stayed at places that are specifically not hosted by Wynwood and there are so many more flexibilities with check-in times. Plus, shower pressures are stronger, places are cleaner (walk around with socks in a Wynwood stay and you'll find the bottom of them will turn black), and the hosts give more personalization. The worst stay and here is why: Room was only superficially cleaned when I arrived. You could literally see residuals from previous guests in the furniture counters. Amenities pretty worked up but the worst were the towels. Fabric falling apart, and a faded yellowish white color. Walls are thin as a cracker. You’ll hear everything going on everywhere, and all night. Beware! They will cut the water and don’t give you much notice or compensation aside from a gallon of water for the toilet 💩. They will charge things you didn’t take from the room. If you have NO CHOICE but to stay here, take pictures of EVERYTHING before and after.
