A Complete Disgrace: The Worst Ceviche Experience
This was a terrible experience from beginning to end. We even thought about leaving halfway through, but we decided to stay and try it out—big mistake. The place was extremely crowded, and we didn’t have much time, so we expected a quick meal. They told us our ceviche would be ready in 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting for half an hour.
To make matters worse, we wanted to drink Chicha Morada, but the waitress had the nerve to say, “This is not a Peruvian restaurant.” What a disgrace! Here they are, trying to sell Peruvian food, but still insisting they aren’t a Peruvian restaurant. Ridiculous!
When the ceviche finally arrived, it was way too lemony and extremely acidic—this was definitely not real ceviche. We were so disappointed that we didn’t want to tip. The waitress asked why, so I explained the situation to her. Then, another waiter came over, asking to hear our thoughts about the food again. He laughed and walked away without saying anything else.
We had to wait another 15 minutes for the bill. The waiters were just standing idle, but for some reason, they insisted on not bringing us our check.
This restaurant is shameless, disrespectful, and completely far from any international standards. These people act like they’ve created the world, but they couldn’t be farther from understanding real customer service or good food. I would never recommend this...

It was a family birthday lunch greatly enjoyed and remembered. So many choices yet to try!
Oh my gosh even better with the 14 family from all over for lunch after my mother-in-laws funeral mass a very important event. For me many I met the first time. Deserves a 10 not just a 5 star! People from all over Colombia and very high class absolutely loved it all and our waiter was good at keeping up with the wide variety of orders first of appetizers all too good to describe! then the entrees and desserts! Service was so good we focused on one another and the event. We had 6 bottles of wonderful Voignier that most had never tried and all raved about and kept complimenting me on my choice since we were seafood focused. We will return to do more of the same.. 4th time there. I was never so happy to pay the entire bill rather than splitting it. Thanks for a memorable...
Read moreThe ceviches are pretty good, although not quite in the league of traditional Peruvian ceviche. I found the plates way too small; the ceviche was a "starter" with 100 grams of fish. At COP 17.600 that's kind of pricey when it's basically gone in three mouthfulls. On the menu the ceviches are divided into two types, normal and hot. Don't worry, if you're not Colombian, the dishes are not actually hot and the chili is barely noticeable.
I also tried the grilled octopus with half a baked tomato, the dish was delicious yet again too small for the price. My girlfriend took a "basket to share" .. Quite a joke, since it came in a basket about the size of a coffee mug.
The pisco sours were made to perfection and somewhat cheaper than at 14 Incas.
Finally, the Flan de Coco was mouthwatering, creamy and dominated by vanilla. A pleasant surprise!
The atmosphere of the place reminded me of a nice, trendy European café with wood, tiles and a warm, airy bustling ambience. The waiters were attentive and polite, and one even spoke English.
I kind of wanted to love the place since Bogotá lacks nice seafood restaurants, but I found it too...
