Hotel California City — Hotel in Medellín

The women who work here are great they're very friendly and the service is fantastic and they clean the rooms very well unfortunately there's two men that work there one guy young kid he comes in your room when you're not there he steals money at the end of my stay the guy the guy at the front desk and he knows who he is he stole money by saying I didn't pay my fees which I did in the girls know it at the front desk who I gave money to and I tipped everybody there and they were very friendly until the end when this guy decided he was going to steal money from me and say I didn't pay for my room for a certain amount of days now there's no place in the world that will let you stay without paying and all the sudden he said I didn't pay for a certain amount of days it was ridiculous and he's a thief so don't go here. Beware. The location is questionable but the guys working for this hotel are the real thieves. Did I mention the guys are a couple of thieves.? Was just checking the reviews and 90% of the 5 star reviews are from people who haven't reviewed more than 3 times. Good indicator that their friends are doing these reviews. I'm glad my review is being viewed by enough people to avoid this place. It's never a good place when the staff steals from the customer.. Both the Male front desk guys are bigger thieves than you'll ever find in the entire area.. Still no response from the owner because he knows its true. This is a difficult review. The people in the hotel were extremely nice. They even installed a little safe when I asked them. The room and furnishings were all new and pleasant. Unfortunately, the room was on the ground floor on a long corridor next to the lift without any sound damping. I was kept awake from all people returning at night waiting for the lift and chatting to 2 am, the cleaners started at 5 am, Their utility room was on the end of the corridor. I could even hear the music from the reception of the night shift. Sleep was hard to come by. The bed had only a fitted sheet on the mattress and a blanket. No other sheets. No room service. Sorry but I can’t recommend. -The area is not safe. You have to use taxi to get in and out. -The mattress is very hard and is very different to sleep. -No cafe machine -Not always Hot water ,Sometimes yes sometimes not. the stuff doesn’t speak English and is very different to communicate. Some guests play loud music until midnight and it is impossible to sleep. -In the morning the maids talk loudly and it wakes you up. -Far from the entertainment of the city, public transportation requires a taxi to anywhere in the city.
